I tried some samples my doctor had supplied for allergy symptoms. It has helped my allergy symptoms and also seems to be an appetite suppressant. I had no adverse side effects. I got a prescription and wow is it expensive! My insurance plan wouldn't pay for i.

Allergra D, is the best medicine for my allergies and I've taken just about every over the counter medicine. I have terrible hay fever and I'm allergic to almost all grasses, trees, pollen in my region (Midwest- Illinois). My allergist suggested that I move to Arizona. Unlike Allegra D 12-hour, I'm having trouble with side effects: insomnia, nausea, heart burn, cramping. The stomach-related effects are beginning to taper off, but the insomnia isn't.

Efficient for allergies, but bad side effects. I experienced many of them: ringing in my ears, insomnia, unusual behavior, anxiety, unable to concentrate, itchy skin, and a couple more.

The antihistamine effects aren't as strong as immediate release diphenhydramine (Benadryl), but it still works pretty well and the continuous release is a nice thing to have.
