Lo/Ovral (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have tried a few types of birth control pills before this, but Lo/Ovral has been very effective as far as period control is concerned. I usually skip the week of placebos and jump straight into the next pack to avoid having periods altogether, and this is the only birth control pill that doesn't cause breakthrough bleeding as a result. It has been an effective contraceptive.

Low-Ogestrel-21 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have tried several different birth controls. They all gave me major mood swings. This birth control is the first one that I have been able to take successfully.

Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): My face is a little blochy, red, oily and I am breaking out pretty badly now, since I started taking this birth control.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have been on Lo/Ovral since I was 18. I was taking the other generic, Low-Ogestrel, up until last month. The pharmacy switched generics. Ever since I started taking the Cryselle I have cramps constantly and always feel bloated.
Lo/Ovral-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Before I got on the pill, my cramps used to be horrible. I started the pill a year ago and haven't had any cramps since. I love it and don't plan on getting off until I'm ready to have kids.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): This pill has done nothing but cause me problems. My skin is oily, I have really bad mood swings, I have gained 6 pounds and I'm constantly crying over any little thing. I find a reason to argue with my boyfriend over ANYTHING. I'm seriously thinking about stopping the pill.
Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Been on this pill going on two and a half years now, no problems so far. I have rarely had bad cramps and I have had no issues with spotting to date. Overall, a gentle but highly effective pill.
Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Been on this pill for about 6 months. Went on it for two reasons:
1) Irregular/missed periods
2) Contraception Purposes
It has been very effective in regulating my periods. I get them on the third placebo pill, every month, like clockwork. They use to be horribly painful, and I now only get occasional moderate or light cramping, with much lighter and shorter periods (3-4 days).
So far so good as a contraceptive. I am in a monogamous relationship, and therefore this is my only means of protection. The only issue I've had is that it caused some nausea, particularly when I haven't been RIGHT on time with it (few hours late or something). Overall, a very good pill.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have been taking this for 3 months. My doctor said I could take it and skip the last row of pills in the 1st 2 packs so that I will only have a period every 3 months. I can tell you that has not been the case. I have been spotting irregularly ever since I started taking it. Sometimes it's for 3-4 day sometimes it seems like it is for 2-3 weeks on and off. Sometimes it's heavier than normal. I am asking to be changed to something else.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Since starting this brand of birth control two years ago I have gained forty pounds. During the two years I exercised thirty minutes a day seven days a week. Despite the weight gain this pill worked very well for me and I never had any other problems.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have been taking this birth control for 5 months now! And ever since I started taking this birth control I have gotten an odd abnormal redness to my face, Gained 15 pounds, and haven't had anything but spotting for the last 4 months.
Lo/Ovral (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I felt very nauseous the whole time, and suffered from a hyper sensitivity to smells which only compounded the problem. It happened from the very first day that I took the birth control and lasted a few days after I quit.
Lo/Ovral (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Unfortunately, this Birth Control pill gave me the worst headaches! I think I had at least 2 per week. Some were migraines. I was also more emotional but the headaches were the reason I stopped using this. No weight gain or acne.
Lo/Ovral (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I've been on this pill for 10 years now and it's been great up until about a year ago. I'm 33 year old now and have experianced depression and angry mood swings a week prior to my period. 1 week after my period I experiance increased libido, 2 weeks after I break out, then the cycle repeats all over again. I have never had acne, not even as a teen. I believe that my hormones are just changing due to aging and I will speak to my doctor about slightly increasing my estrogen level through a different pill.
Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have been on this pill for a year now and I noticed my skin is getting progressively worse. I never had bad skin before and now even on Proactive it's bad! I also have very dry eyes from the pill. My Doctor even put punctual plugs in my tear ducts and my eyes are still dry. I also noticed that it makes me sweat a lot more than I normally do.
Lo/Ovral-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen for birth control for 2 years with no issues. After 2 weeks, my migrane headaches worsened, a nervous/ill feeling hit me and my heart was always pounding. I stopped taking it immediately (I'm married and we are stable enough to have a baby) and have since decided to start trying to have a baby. I recommend lots of caution with this one (especially if you take something for ADHD)
Low-Ogestrel-28 (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): Told my doctor I wanted to try another pill after my old pill was giving me migraines during my placebo week. She said I could take this and skip the placebo week (and my period). I did have some break through bleeding 2-3 times, nothing as heavy a real period, no cramps. Didn't have any negative side effects. However noticed my breasts grew nearly a cup size. Can't complain.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): I have been taking this pill for 3 months and it has been great so far. My periods are lighter and I hardly have any cramping, when before they were horrible. (Really!) It has made me less moody during my periods, which my boyfriend finds amazing and it has also made the sex better in our relationship. Besides the slight weight gain, this pill has been exceptionally good to me and will continue to take it.
ethinyl estradiol/norgestrel: I've been on this pill for 2 months now and a week before starting my period the 2nd month I started having severe signs of depression. That have only gotten worse as time as went on.
Cryselle (ethinyl estradiol/ norgestrel): This really helped me for my period, before this pill, my period was so bad, going on for 7-8 days, with serious pain for the first 4 days. I would take like 4 ibuprofen (in just 3 hours, NOT good) and it wouldn't help! But now my pain is mild to none, and that makes me happy. I was seriously hoping it would help lower my acne level though... but it gave me more, plus oily skin. Just as long as it keeps the pain away, I'll keep taking it.
ethinyl estradiol/norgestrel: I started taking this pill over 1 week ago, ever since I have had horrible acne! Plus I have diabetes and my blood sugar levels have been very high since starting this pill.
