For Birth Control "This is a great birth control and also has a couple bad side effects I possibly have arthritis in my knee I only noticed shortly after starting this pill. I'm going to the doctor in a couple days to find out what is actually wrong so this pill might not have anything to do with it. The worst side effect is I cry and get upset almost everyday. I have extreme mood swings however my body and face is beautiful and better than ever sex drive is pretty high and great for me. My breasts look fantastic, have grown at least 1 cup size. I don't think I've had weight gain. I have a small flat belly and have only gained weight in the parts a girl would want, my boyfriend loves my body more than ever!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for about 3-4 years. Overall, there's definitely pros & cons for me personally. I was young when I started taking it, and it helped so much with cystic acne. It's done what it's supposed to as far as preventing pregnancy. BUT as I've gotten older and the longer I've taken it, I feel like I'm dealing with PMS or even PMDD (a more severe form of PMS) for more than half the month. It's terrible... The mood swings are terrible, weight change, fluid retention, acne (not cystic, but acne and dryness of skin), prone to yeast infections after periods, terrible fatigue, and I feel depressed and angry. All this with caring well for my health and my skin. Keep in mind this is my personal experience up to date!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for about a year now since I switched from the Depo shot. At first it was giving me headaches so I started to take it right before bed. My face has cleared up a lot with the occasional zit around my period. Period have become lighter with less cramps and my breasts have gotten fuller. The only thing that I have noticed is my sex drive isn't what it used to be, but it could just be me."

For Ovarian Cysts "So I've been reading other reviews for this, and I really think that people should wait until after the first month to decide if this is a horrible birth control because OF COURSE we're going to have the bad side effects the first few weeks! Our bodies are adapting to a new drug so just be patient! The first three weeks I had nausea, mild mood swings, loss of appetite, and EXTREMELY sore and swollen breasts. Since then I've been side effect free. I've been on it for three months now and I have to say it's amazing! I take it for PCOS and because of my PCOS I would be having periods every 6 months and they would be KILLER! I would literally be in bed for days, but with this birth control I have mild short periods. It's fantastic. I definitely recommend it."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I've been on it for almost five months. I've been on two other pills before. They made me have severe mood swings and horrible depression, so my doctor put me on this one. I love it. My breasts have gotten bigger as well- which is a HUGE plus for me. Also, the only thing I use is these pills- no condoms or anything else, and I have a very active sex life, and I haven't gotten pregnant, so it is doing a great job. It has given me a higher sex drive too. I have two problems with it, but the pros outweigh the negatives. Firstly, I get nausea when I start a new pack. It usually lasts 3-4 days. It also gives me heavy periods. Though, they only last 3-4 days."

For Birth Control "Sprintec is great for me. I have taken it for a year & a half (19 years old) Never had any problems but I guess that shows it works different for everyone. My breasts got bigger. I didn't gain any weight, periods became shorter, lighter periods and I rarely have cramps & if I do they aren't bad. Before I got on Sprintec I had really heavy periods, all 7 days long & horrible cramps to the point where I would miss school and work. It's affordable and I would recommend Sprintec to anyone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Pretty great. I have PCOS and my bleeding that could last anywhere from 2 days to 50 days. Turns out I had really high testosterone and not enough estrogen. On Sprintec, I'm at a normal 7-day period, which is a significant upgrade. No visible side effects at all except gradual weight loss. Yeah weight loss! I'm the Sprintec user everyone's jealous of. No idea how effective it is at preventing pregnancy. Haven't tried it."

For Ovarian Cysts "The reason why I'm taking birth control is because of my ovarian cysts. I would have the worst period in the world, I felt like I was dying because of all the pain I was in. I started taking Sprintec around March and my period has been so amazing. I sometimes forget I'm even on my period. Not only has it made my period a breeze but my metabolism was boosted. I've lost 17 pounds so far and it feels amazing."

For Birth Control "There are so many mixed reviews for this product and honestly you can't just go by what some of them say. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to medications. I've never had a problem with Sprintec, but others may. It's completely up to your body as to how it will react with the medication. It's fine to start out with it first since it is the cheapest birth control and if it doesn't work for you...switch."

For Birth Control "alright so when I was prescribed this I was so scared to take it after reading some reviews. I just got on accutane a couple months before going on Sprintec and was scared it would mess up my skin but it actually helped so much with my skin. Another reason why I was prescribed it was before this I got the copper IUD worse decision of my life and didn't stop bleeding for 4 months after I got it removed I was still bleeding, then 1 week after being on sprintec the bleeding completely stopped. Don't be scared off from taking this medicine everything works different for people. I also suffer from an eating disorder and was terrified to gain weight it's been 5 months of me on this pill and I haven't gained a pound. The only thing I have noticed is that my boobs and butt got way bigger and my boobs are always kinda sore but I'll take that over constantly bleeding all the time"

For Birth Control "Do not take Sprintec. I've been on it for two weeks and I'm quitting already. This medicine makes me extremely nauseous and gave me prolonged headaches. On top of that it and made my face break out horribly and I've gained 7 pounds. No, just no. Take a hard pass on this one and try something else."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for almost a year. I started on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for a little under a month it gave a period that didn't stop until I switched to Sprintec. I have close to zero side effects on Sprintec. It has been amazing for acne, my face is really clear now. No weight gain. I do have a really active sex life . I have been on antibotics for bladder infections and not gotten pregnant. The only thing I have noticed I do tend to shove people away when its close to my period. Not every period though. I've only experienced cramps one period in my life which was a couple of months ago, but I think it was due to stress. Also before this medication my periods were very irregular now they are always on the dot."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I have been on and I love it. I have been on it for 6 months now and the only side effect I have had was a little bit of weight gain. It is only 7 lbs and I would bet quite a bit that it is all in my breasts. I went from a 34D to a 34DDD. Other than that, I have had no other side effects. My fiance and I both agree that my sex drive has increased tremendously since I started taking Sprintec. This was just how it affected me."

For Ovarian Cysts "I started taking sprintec about 2 months ago. I suffer from Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). At first I refused any form of birth control but after not having a period for 3 months and entirely overwhelmed from all the symptoms from PCOS I gave in and boy am I happy I made this decision. Since taking sprintec I have slightly to no symptoms from PCOS I feel back to myself and my periods are on track again. "

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have always suffered from heavy bleeding since I was 16 and now I’m 39. I was put on Mirena IUD but had to have it replaced since it fell out twice. Was put on Sprintec about 8 months ago and have been spotting nonstop straight like a stuck pig in a butcher shop ever since. There have been times where I have had to change my Super + tampon and over night pad all at once with in 15mins because I bled so bad and almost fainted. I also have fibroids I have not been able to keep my appointments with my gynecologist and have to keep canceling my ultrasound/consultation for an hysterectomy due to the bleeding. And on top of this my new doctor said I should never have been put on Sprintec in the first place due to my high blood pressure. I hope this helps someone because I came here crying and fed up because I have no one else to relate to. Good luck ladies! "

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My doc prescribed Sprintec and said to use with the 'skip method' where I skip inactive pills for a few months and only getting 4 periods a year. Sprintec gave me horrible mood swings and anxiety attacks during the first few months. I was a nervous wreck and my husband hated me. I hated myself. After that it was good for a while. But now I've been spotting on and off for 3 weeks with cramping and with times of heavier bleeding. My sex life also is non-existent."

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for 3 years. I had no major side effects I thought until recently I stopped taking it so my husband and I can start trying for a baby. About a week and a half off the pill my sex drive sky rocketed! Now I'm realizing that the hormones were suppressing my sex drive. Anyone else had this happen to them?"

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for almost 6 months now. I am 20 years old and had been on the NuvaRing since I was 16 and loved it until I had an injury that required I took the ring out. The first 2 months of the pill I had absolutely no side effects whatsoever. I felt exactly the same as I did on the Nuvaring. At 3 months however my breasts have increased an entire cup size and are very sore all of the time. This is the only side effect I am experiencing. I take my pill at 9pm each night. I have not experienced any weight gain."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I don’t really do this (write comments) but since I went through hell...I thought I’d share my experience. On my 3rd week of the pill, I started heavy bleeding and thought...OK this could be breakthrough bleeding. But I began bleeding heavy - clots big as my palm. I became short of breath & felt a shock through my body & felt dizzy. I was going in circles. I got an appointment with OB/GYN right away. DR did an exam, everything was ok but my pulse was 180!! He sent me to the ER. They put me on IV fluids, exams, tons of blood work, & at the end I received 2 bags of blood. They ruled it was the BC that got everything so wacky D/T all my labs & exams were ok. They advise NOT to take again. I'm on meds now to help stop the bleeding & will have a follow up with OB/GYN. I understand that the outcome of the med is different for everyone. Reason I took this BC was to regulate my periods. I would have heavy periods but never this heavy. I hope this helps anyone looking into taking a BC."

My left arm goes numb and hurts, I was fine before I started taking this pill, since I've been on I've been nothing but sick for 6 months now."

For Birth Control "This medication Sprintec caused me to have several blood clots in both of my lungs. I almost died. I was admitted, had next day surgery and now have a $150,000 hospital bill. I only took 1 pack and was on my second week on the next pack. I doubt have a family history of blood clots. I wouldn't take this if I were you. Especially not African American females."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have done NOTHING but bleed while on the Sprintec Pill. I have bled, and bled, and bled, to the point where I needed to use Bladder Leakage pants to help with the bleeding, as I would go through Pads and tampons like CRAZY. I used a whole box of a 18 tampons in ONE day. (Super AND regular) they were both DRIPPING. (Tmi, I know) Honestly, This is the WORST medicine I have EVER taken for Birth control. Would NOT recommend to ANYONE. I don't even take the Sugar Pills!"

For Birth Control "I am 19, in a relationship and have been on Sprintec for 3 months now and this has been the only birth control pill I've tried. This pill has been extremely effective when it comes to preventing pregnancies unfortunately I have had several side effects. At first it started off as frequent headaches and then dizzy spells and then increase in mood swings. The dizziness and headaches. Everything else is good, the Acne and the weight and stuff are normal for me but the mood swings are killer. I have irrational anger and crying outburst. I have started attacking my boyfriend when I'm angry."
