I have been on this pill coming up on a month. I am extremely tired all the time right. When I wake up if I close my eyes for a minute I fall right back into a deep sleep. I am having the worst mood swings ever and worst of all it is making me gain weight like crazy! I haven't changed my diet or exercise routine. I eat healthy and exercise everyday but I am gaining weight! I would not recommend this pill to anyone unless you are an extremely happy skinny person who can't gain weight because it will make you angry and make you gain weight.

I've been on this pill for about 6 weeks. I've never been on birth control so this is all new to me, but the first few weeks I had really heavy spotting, and then I didn't get my period at all when I was supposed to. I don't know what's wrong, but I'm just really worried about not getting my period.

I have had AWFUL headaches, SEVERE mood swings, spotting every two weeks off and on, and HORRIBLE cystic acne. I've really had many acne problems and within a few weeks of taking this birth control, I had huge cysts of acne (two on my face and one on my chest). In case, you don't know cystic acne is basically a huge over sized painful pimple that can take up to 6 MONTHS to go away. Only 1 on my face has just recently gone down. I'm sick and nauseated all of the time and since I spot every now and then..I couldn't tell if I missed a period or not!

I have read a majority of the comments about Loestrin 24 FE and they were not good. But I can tell you from my experience, I LOVE IT! I do not get crazy mood swings, nausea and I did not gain weight. It really helped with my acne. My face is so clear now. I have been on it since August of this year. But so far so good. I have no complaints. I do have my period, but it is very light. Come next year July, however, I will stop using the pill. Only because I plan on getting married and would really want to have children. I don't want my body to get too used to it. But overall, I love this pill.

I was on Yaz and Yasmin for 5 years and only because of the scare of it being taken off the market did I switch to this. I think the secret is not to take any on the fourth week. My period is still normal and my mood is a little more mellow any time I'm on birth control. Whenever I get off birth control I make sure I start right after my period to start up on a birth control again. I'm super happy when I'm not on it, but I rather not get pregnant or cramps. I'm too young and not ready. As for weight gain, my doctor says it's my mood that makes me eat more and that's what makes me gain weight. Other than that, I would recommend that you take a birth control and if you don't like it, just switch it.

I used Yaz for over a year and started having break through bleeding so my doctor decided to try me on Loestrin 24Fe. I'm on month three. The first month my sex drive went up 200%. My period lasted 2 1/2 days - one day heavy. I was having 5 days with 2 of those being very heavy. I couldn't believe it. The second month my sex drive went back to normal but my period lasted only 2 days again with lots of cramping but only spotting. I'm hoping month three will be more normal. The doctor said it would make my period last only a day which is awesome but like someone else wrote, it would be nice to have an actual period so I wouldn't think I was pregnant. I never gained weight on Yaz and I've gained a few pounds with this pill.

I'm 28 and have been on Loestrin 24 for 6 months and I'm getting off it. I expected some side effects with Birth Control but I can't take this. I get CRAZY mood swings, I've gained weight and I've lost my sex drive. Also, I haven't had a period in 6 months, not even spotting. Been on Yaz and Ortho before and can't remember side effects being like this.

I'm very frustrated - I'm 39 and it's the first time I've ever been on birth control. I started taking it the end of July, and I am still bleeding (very lightly) almost all month long. I'm about ready to quit. I feel like I've tried it long enough. I'm totally frustrated with the whole thing!

I love this! This is my first form of birth control and I have only been on it for about two and a half weeks, but I have to say that, so far, its great. I usuallly get terrible cramps, pains, nausea, etc. on my period; when I started using this on the first day of my period this month, it all went away. This was my first time NOT throwing up during my period, and I stopped getting those terrible cramps. Even my bloating went away. Plus, for some reason, since I started using this b.c., my occasional pimples have disappeared and stopped showing up. It's all really great and I feel so much better after taking this!! The only problem (though it's really not a big deal) is that I may have put on a pound since I started using it.

I took this medicine for about 9 months for perimenopausal symptoms and birth control since I am still fertile in late 40s. This took about 3 months to acclimate to.... Had the mood swings and nausea and headaches in the first couple of months. Then it worked quite well and actually improved my sleep which wasn't doing so well pre birth control. However the biggest factor making me discontinue use of this drug was a big raise in my blood pressure! I am a non smoker and a bit overweight but have always had very low blood pressure. After 8-9 months on this my blood pressure was high. I've been off this a few weeks and top reading on my blood pressure has dropped into 140s from the 160s I was peaking at. Still, I've always had 110 or so before taking Loestrin 24.

I took this pill for just over two weeks. I had never been on the pill before - I always did the depo shot so this was a whole new experience at 36 years old! I was prepared for side effects and the first week of use I had some headaches, slight nausea and pretty strong cramping. The second week brought on crazy mood swings and that is actually what made me stop. I've been off the pill for 5 days now and slowly feel like I am myself again. I would have had no problem hanging in there with the other side effects, but I became someone I didn't like (or my husband and friends) for that last week on the pill. I had no patience for anyone or anything, I was angry at everything.

I would have given this a higher rating, as I used to love this pill. I went through 3 months in the beginning of irregular periods which I knew would happen, and once that was over these worked beautifully. No mood changes, no weight changes, regulated my period for months, and now I've been on it for a year? maybe? and for the past 2 months I've had my normal period, and then ANOTHER period 2 weeks into the new pack of pills. In 2 months I had 4 periods. Then the next month it was regulated and now AGAIN, 2 weeks into the pill I am spotting AGAIN. This is ridiculous.

I have been on Loestrin 24 Fe for almost 4 years. It was my favorite out of all the birth controls I tried until this year. I am 5'6-5'7 and have always been about 125-130 pounds. I am now about 150-160 pounds, I skipped a period two months ago, got this months period late. I am not pregnant. I will randomly feel sick and depressed. I have lost my sex drive and my boobs will hurt. I have extreme cramps and find myself experiencing tons of mood swings. I think it is time to switch to something else.

I started taking this birth control on September 1st and it's now October 14th. The first month I took it, I had my period for about 3 weeks straight, but it was light. When it came time that I would normally have gotten my period (which would have been at the end of the month), the bleeding went completely away after that time had passed that my actual period would have went away. Since then it's be fine, my face cleared up a lot and I'm maintaining a good weight too. I just got my period today, and it's very very light and hardly any cramps. Hopefully it only lasts 2-3 days!

After only taking this medicine for 9 days, I've already decided to discontinue use. My side effects are as follows:
1. mood swings/depression/anxiety: None of these were present before I began taking the pill. I cry for no reason, and have a constant feeling of deep, deep worry. I have begun questioning everyone's motives, and feel hopeless.
2. Constant Sleeping: Before the pill, I would have to force myself to go to bed by 10, to be able to fall asleep by 11. I am exhausted by 8pm now, and generally crash by 9.
3. Cramps: stabbing pains, like with a period.
4. Breast tenderness
5. Pain during intercourse
6. Acne
7. Severe nausea
I am stopping this now and getting my life back.

Only took it for 14 days before side effects caused me to discontinue. Started having horrible headaches, insomnia, some night sweats, nervousness, gas/nausea/diarrhea. Never had this cluster of problems simultaneously until I began this medication 2 weeks ago. I don't plan on using any other hormone for birth control.

I've been on this medication to regulate my period and the mood swings are really bad. I feel so angry all the time. They should add this to the side effects list on the box. Hopefully this will work for my situation.

I started taking this pill on a Sunday, by Tuesday I was bleeding heavily and it was constant. I continued to bleed for 3 straight weeks and I finally had enough so I stopped taking it. I had terrible cramps on this pill.

I'm 15 and using this birth control to regulate my period. This is the first pill I've been on and I've been taking it for 5 days only. It gave me serious side effects and an allergic reaction. I have a red rash on my face, severe stomach pains and vomiting.

I've never had any problems with the length or intensity of my period but on this pill I felt sick all the time, dizzy, anxious, moody and tired. My skin broke out and I had hot flushes. Every 3 days I had cramps and my breasts were tender. I've been running 4-8 miles a day and still gained weight. This pill made me feel like I was pregnant all over again. Not a good choice of pill for me!

I just started this pill and so far I've noticed that I have been very moody and my period has become much heavier so far. The moodiness has really affected me and my boyfriend because I start fights over the dumbest things. I'm going to give this a few months and if nothing changes I'm going to have to switch.

I used Loestrin for about 6 months. I switched from Yaz because although Yaz promised a shorter period, I actually had it for about 8 days. With loestrin, I only had my period for 2 days - major plus. However, as time went on, I noticed that I would get stomach aches and the main issue was loss of sex drive. It took a while to realize that this was caused by Loestrin but just keep in mind that this is a side effect.

I have been on this pill for approximately 6 months now and I am pleased with it. It is the first pill that I have experienced and I am not pregnant yet thank goodness. I definitely do get a lot moodier when it's close to the end of my pack and I do occasionally have break through bleeding about half way through my pack but so far it has been fine. I will continue to use this until I get any other problems.

I have tried many different kinds of birth control pills during my search to find the right one. This one wasn't the right one for me. I constantly felt nauseous and developed urinary tract infections and yeast infections, strange discharges and odors. I didn't have those problems on the other pills. Also I would experience randomly on this pill the loss of my sex drive. For the people who know me, that's nothing like me. That side effect scared me and was the last straw that pushed me to switch.

I was on this pill after I finished breast feeding, and I had lots of problems with break-through bleeding, every month. I was on Lo Ovral for 9 years prior to having a baby and didn't experience the problems I have with Loestrin.

I've been using Loestrin 24 for about 4 months now and I like it a lot. It completely took away my period(YAY)! I do sometimes get in really bad moods for no reason at all and I sometimes feel like I am gaining weight. However I do really like it and will continue to use it.

I have been taking these pills for a few months now. I have been experiencing major sweating issues. I sweat through most of my clothes and experience "hot flash" type feeling through out the day. I did like that this pill has made my periods extremely light and they only last for about 2 days. That is nice but I am not sure if I can deal with the excessive sweating.

I had a baby about a year ago and started taking this pill in October of this year. The first month was fine, had a period but it only lasted about 3 days (happy with that). I didnt gain any weight, in fact I lost a few lbs. I was never moody and never really had any side effects but then I got to the second month and I hardly had a period at all. There was about a day of spotting and then that was it so of course I panicked that I was pregnant. I'm not saying Loestrin was bad, but I'd rather have the assurance that when I start my period then I know I'm not pregnant.

I'm into my second pack and am not pregnant (which is good) but I'm very nauseous, queasy, dizzy and lightheaded. Also, I'm experiencing anxiety and nervousness. I think if these symptoms continue after pack 3 I'll need to switch.

I've been using Loestrin 24 FE for almost a year and couldn't be happier with it. I'm 18 and it's the first pill I've tried, so I guess I got lucky with it.
I experienced no side-effects, even during the first pack. The main objective is always not to get pregnant, and obviously it's doing the job it should in that respect. However, it also completely eliminated my periods. I'll get a small amount of bleeding every few months (maybe half a day's worth of spotting), but that's all.
The only downside is that it's expensive but worth it.

I've been on Loestrin 24 FE for 5 months. I had a few bothersome side effects and a few side effects that weren't so bothersome. In the second month I developed this weird anxiety and had this constant sense of nervousness. I would also have very brief moments of dizziness. For example, if I turned my head too fast I'd feel a flash of dizziness. For nearly 4 months my breasts were sore, but I could deal with that. I spotted for the first month, but I could deal with that, too. I never had any nausea, weight gain, acne, hair loss, or skin discoloration. Now that I've gotten over the side effects I'm pretty pleased and wouldn't want to switch.

I have been taking Loestrin 24Fe for 13 months now and I have no complaints. It is the first birth control that I have tried. After 3 months of taking the pill, it completely ended my period. I was a little nervous about it, but my doctor assured me that not having a period was normal (especially if you were light before) and that it would not effect my ability to have children later. Also, the pill took away all of my acne which is always a plus!

I am 18 years old and have been using Loestrin 24 Fe for 9 and a half months now. I haven't gotten pregnant but the side effects I experience always make me think that I am pregnant. It's been this long so I guess it's working.

I'm 28 yrs. old. I've been pregnant and delivered without complication. I have used birth control in the past but not for over 7 years. I just finished my 1st pack of Loestrin 24 FE, I try to take it after 7pm. I spotted twice and had a very light period for 3 days. I'm into pack 2, not pregnant (MY GOAL) and I feel fine.
