Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was nervous taking this med after reading negative reviews but, after a rough first week that included nausea (quelled by taking Dramamine) a nasty headache, having my face break out (I am 46 and do NOT get break outs), and then break through bleeding...everything calmed and I've loved the medicine ever since. All the original side effects went right away and my period was extremely light and short...love it. Glad my Dr convinced me to stick with it because I almost quit taking it.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been on Orsythia for one year and it's been a breeze. Zero side effects -- literally zero. You will find a plethora of horrible reviews for this pill, which is actually what spurred me to write this positive one. Remember that people that are content with their pill don't always think to write a review, I didnt! I've had no acne, no weight gain, no mood swings, no pain, short and light periods, no spotting, and NO PREGNANCIES. Give it a try, everyone's bodies are different. Just because other people have had a bad experience with a medication doesnt mean it will happen to you!

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: First time ever starting birth control and the reviews on here scared me! SO glad I decided to tough it out! I've been taking it for 4 months and the only symptoms I have had are a little more emotional outburst two days before my period (not that big of a deal, I was always prone to PMS emotional outbursts anyways) and breakthrough bleeding the first month. No weight gain, no acne (actually, less acne). I realize all women are different, but just thought I'd share my mostly pleasant experience with this pill! Oh, and of course...it works! Not pregnant!

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I don't have insurance but do have a discount at my pharmacy. I've used Lutera for 12 years! Last month I was switched to Orsythia and did notice my mood changed a bit, was so hungry therefore gained 10 pounds. I did have a super light period and my breasts didn't hurt at all this past time. I needed to start eating good anyway and I've lost weight and I now know what's causing my increases anger so I'm more mellow (myself again). I like Orsythia and plan on not switching.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I started taking this pill 2 months ago and although I haven't experienced any break through bleeding, I've gotten a lot of other negative side effects. I've broken out with acne like a teenager, my sex drive has decreased, mood swings, increased appetite and weight gain. Yesterday was my last day taking this pill.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I'm glad there are reviews for Orthysia, because now I know that I should go to my doctor and talk to them about it, since I'm experiencing the symptoms given in these reviews. I started on Orthysia three months ago due to Lutera being discontinued. In the last two months I've experienced a (frustrating) loss of appetite, mood swings, trouble sleeping and increased heart rate.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I like this pill! Ended my 2nd month and no nausea or irregular bleeding. I was on a higher dose pill before and was absolutely sick from it. My period is right on time from last month and I will continue this pill! It works great considering the condom fell off a few times, makes me absolutely thankful I'm on birth control!

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was taking Lutera and doing great with it. My pharmacy made me switch because Lutera was being discontinued. I am on my third week of this medication and have not been feeling well. I have been moody and agitated and feeling as if I am in a fog.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: It works well. I've been on it for 8 months. I think the only bad thing is that I spot before I start the last week of pills. It's not a big deal but it's kind of annoying. I was switched the first month from Lutera to Orsythia and I didn't have any side effects from either. I haven't gained weight, my sex drive is great, and I haven't had any random breakouts. It's a good pill.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I switched over from Aviane because my doctor said they were "exactly the same" but no. I bled really badly and ended up in the hospital because I thought something was seriously wrong.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have had no problems on this medication. Was switched around to a couple different other generics for Alesse for 2 years. I have been on Orsythia, specifically, for over 6 months have seen no difference with this and the others. I have had no side effects at all. Orsythia/Alesse has helped my mood and my adult acne. It has also made a major difference with my periods. Now lighter, shorter with little to no cramping.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This medication made my breasts hurt for the entire two months that I was on it. I could barely wear a bra because they hurt so badly. Most birth control pills that I have been on have cleared my acne completely, but I all of a sudden had severe breakouts, especially on my chin, while on this medication. The only good side effect was that it decreased my appetite, but I was hungry again during my periods. My periods were also regular and light.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I would just like to state some things for anyone reading the negative reviews and getting worried, because these comments stressed me out for weeks. It is important to understand a couple things. For one, people who experience no negative side effects don't tend to write reviews, because they are so content with the product that they don't think about it. Secondly, all birth control pills affect each individual completely differently. What one person thinks is the best pill another will swear up and down it is the worst. If your doctor prescribes this pill for you, don't be too afraid to take it. Give it a chance and it may be great for you, as it was for me. If it's not, just stop taking it and find one that better suits your body.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was switched by my pharmacy from Aviane to Orsythia. After three months of trying it I have requested to go back to Aviane or try something else. It made me have longer periods and mood swings. I would feel like I wanted to cry at everything. I am glad I read the reviews on here and it was not just me.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Like many other reviewers, I too was switched by my pharmacy from Aviane to Orysthia. I decided to give it a try because my doctor said that they both had same ingredients and made by the same company. I never experienced any side effects from Aviane, even when first taking them. Since I've been switched to Orysthia, I've experienced all the unpleasant side effects: nausea, massive weight gain, (95 lb to 101 lb) breakouts and major mood swings.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This was the first birth control that I've ever tried, and I've honestly experienced no problems with it. I had mild nausea for the first two months and an irregular period, but my body quickly adjusted to it. I think that all of the bad reviews on here are from people whose body was just SO adjusted to that other pill that they just couldn't take this one. My sex drive is good, my weight is steady, face is clear, and I'm NOT pregnant.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I had no problems when on Aviane or Lutera, but since my insurance switched me to Orsythia, my periods have gotten a bit longer, and my cramps have gotten worse. With Aviane and Lutera, I barely had any but now they're back to like before I was on the pill. Plus, my breasts have been achy when they didn't use to be and I've had more headaches. One month I was even worried I was pregnant because I was so tired, bloated and had so many headaches. I'm hoping I can get my doctor to write me a prescription for something else if my insurance doesn't cover Aviane or Lutera when I get my refill next month. Not terrible but not as good as Aviane or Lutera.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: My pharmacist switched me to this pill. This is the second month on this brand and it's been giving me terrible moods swings, I feel like I'm PMSing everyday, and my period is irregular and barely anything comes out, thought I was pregnant. I'm switching back to Aviane.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was also switched from Aviane to Orsythia. I am halfway through month two, and the fatigue, bloating and nausea are so bad I actually thought I was pregnant! I will be stopping mid-pack as I spent the entire day at work trying to not get sick all over my desk. I'm also waiting for my doc to write me a new prescription.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: After taking Lutera for 4 years, the pharmacy changed my prescription to Orsythia. I had little to no side effects with Lutera, now I have mood swings, acne under my chin, my cycle used to be every 28 days, now my periods are irregular. I will get my period again during the second week of the new pack. My cycle used to be 3 days now at least a week. I was becoming afraid that something was wrong with me until I read the reviews. I'm going back to my OB GYN!

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I had been on Lutera for more than a year with no side effects or issues to speak of. My pharmacy switched me without notice to Orsythia, and my biggest complaint (after less than three weeks of use) is that I'm now experiencing deep, painful breakouts around my chin, which I'm attributing to Orsythia since it has been the only thing in my routine that's changed. Needless to say, I've already met with my gyn and will be switching to a new pill as soon as this pack's done.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was given Orsythia because my pharmacist switched me from Lutera. This birth control actually kills my appetite resulting in a little weight loss and even better, increased my breast size. My main complaint is that I get large, deep breakouts on my chin but a salicylic acid facial cleanser is helping with them. Also, I wake up in a bad mood every morning. I have only been on this birth control for a few weeks and definitely isn't as good as Lutera but I will wait for my body to adjust a little more. I would definitely say give it a try before you call your pharmacist screaming.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have the same problems as many of the other reviewers. My medication was changed from Avaine to Lutera to Orsythia. I had no problems with Avaine or Lutera but I've been on Orsythia for about a week and I'm experiencing horrible side effects. I've had headaches, moodiness, and cramps. It feels exactly like I'm PMSing and according to other reviewers, I just might be. I'm glad I came here so I can be prepared for a possible mid cycle period.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on this for about 3 months now. I have been moody, gained weight and feel overall not good. I am so bloated at times and my breasts hurt all throughout the month.

Orsythia (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been on Lutera for about a year and had no problems at all. Then my insurance switched to Orysthia and I've been having mood swings, acne, and what seems like, 3 week periods. I'm going back to Lutera.
