Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: By far the best birth control I've ever had. I tried 2 before and they didn't work for me. They made me gain weight and didn't even help with my period which is one of the major reasons why I got on birth control. When I first started this, it gave me major mood swings but after about 2 weeks it stopped. That was the only bad part. While on it for only 2 months I lost about 15 pounds and it helped so much with my periods. They are light, short, and I have barely any cramping. It's also cheap.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This was my very first birth control that I ever had. I got it when I was 15 years old. At first I loved it because I went from having very irregular periods to having them right on time every month. However, by year two I was having panic attacks, mind-boggling depression, horrible break-outs, and titanic cramps. I switched to Yaz and all went well for a year. I am currently on Seasonique, which except for the slightly less sex drive, is AMAZING.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This pill made me feel terrible! It caused me to break out everywhere, bloating, and migraines everyday I was on it! I have taken it for a week and my doctor advised me to switch mid-pack back to my old pill, Low-ogestrel which has worked the best for me.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Horrible emotional side effects. Always angry and crying. I have been on different birth controls for over 8 years with no problems. I went on this one for one month and immediately had these side effects.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on 3 different birth control pills in 3 years and I have to say Aviane is the best. The other two were Ortho and Loestrin and they were both horrible for me. I was moody, crying all the time, angry, always hungry, bad cramping and depressed. I asked to be put back on Aviane. It's been a week and I've noticed a dramatic difference. I'm so much more pleasant to be around, and I'm hardly ever hungry. The last time I was on Aviane I lost around 20 pounds in a year. Plus, no cramps!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on Aviane for about a month or so now and I have really been happy with its results. I have been through 4 other brands of pills and on those I became so mean my husband and I were literally on the verge of divorce. I finally found Aviane through my OB/Gyn and it has 100% changed my mood and behavior. I have not experienced any side effects and would recommend this birth control to anyone who has a problem with hormone imbalance causing significant problems in their life.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I just want to say I found this site very helpful. I had been on Alesse previously and switched to Aviane because it was so much cheaper. Since switching I have found that I am more fatigued, am losing an alarming amount of hair, and feel sick after I eat. This page helped me a lot because until now I was stressing out thinking that I was possibly pregnant (I have had lighter periods since I started 3 months ago, but that only added to the problem). I am still going to take a pregnancy test, but after reading this article I feel like I will be able to at least sleep tonight.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Aviane made me feel terrible. After taking it for just two days I couldn't bear the side effects so I stopped immediately. I experienced extreme bloating, weight gain, moodiness, crying for no reason, depression, sore ovaries, muscle cramping, back pain and a migraine headache!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've tried the following BC pills:
Ortho- used to give me back aches and significant weight gain
Loesterin FE- gave me intense headaches and spotting
Alesse-wonderful!
I just switched to the generic brand of Alesse, Aviane and I hope it has the same effect as Alesse!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Ovarian Cysts: For four months, I have suffered from constant cramps, 24/7. My doctor finally took an ultrasound and found two very large cysts. One was filled with blood. He explained to me this is why I am in so much pain. I also have been experiencing other symptoms. Thinning hair, low back pain/throbbing, nausea, ill feeling, facial hair, etc., etc. I went back in and he finally put me on birth control pills. I am 37 and taking birth control pills for the first time. I am almost two weeks into taking them and to my relief I have not suffered any bad side effects, but it's still early. I can only hope that this is a good sign. And I can only hope that my pain will subside and my cysts will dissolve. I have my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: After my last two birth control experiences (Yaz made me a nightmare and Loestrin 24Fe gave me a rash and hives), this is a welcome change. I've had no problems since I started this pill. My mood is even and my periods are fine. I'm glad I finally found one that works for me!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) : After Orth-tricyclen and Yaz, both of which gave side effects. So I tried Aviane and am quite pleased with it. Other than finding it difficult to get sleep sometimes, I haven't experienced any bad side effects. I also like that it's so inexpensive.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Aviane made be feel excessively fatigued, and I still got the migraines. However, I started feeling nauseous, which is extremely uncommon for me. I decided to try to stick it out for three months to see if my body would adjust, but after a month and a half, I started vomiting and having such terrible nausea that it interfered with my daily life. I decided to quit this pill midpack because it was having such awful effects on me (in addition to getting sick, my heart was racing and I was very OCD). Last night, a few hours after the first dose I missed, I started having stressed breathing like I was having a panic attack, and I had to lay completely still on a couch for hours waiting for the nausea to subside.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Ovarian Cysts: For birth control, it works wonderfully. As for ovarian cysts it seems to do nothing for me. I still get them as often as I used to and I see no end to it.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: My periods were for 7 or 8 days, and I was moody and emotional and made my boyfriend insane. I think it made my hormones go crazy. I was mean and angry for a whole week.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: It made my breasts huge (well a half size or so bigger). I'll take anything at this point. I'm less crazy hormonally.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) : I started using birth control when I was 13 years old and am now 19 1/2. Aviane was the first thing that my doctor prescribed. I went from having heavy periods lasting over a month and being spaced up to 6 months apart to having light almost pain-free periods that last 3-4 days. I used to have horrible cramping and lining issues, but now I rarely have light cramps and my moods have been so much better. I haven't experienced any side effects and never want to go off of birth control. I do not need a contraceptive but it works amazingly for periods and hormone regulation!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I recently had to switch to Avaine after finding out that my health insurance (Blue Cross) refused to continue to cover the cost of Alesse after the first 3 months. I've only been using Avaine for a little over a week. So far I don't see any problems except I've been breaking out more than I should since I'm on birth control. Other than that I think it's fine.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: After trying a few birth controls I am now going back to Aviane. This pill worked the best for me and I am sick of experimenting. Most importantly I did not gain weight on this pill.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Hasn't caused me to gain any weight. I've had less cramping with periods as well as lighter periods. The only negative side effect I've noticed is I feel a bit more moody/emotional during my periods, other than that it's fantastic. Probably the best birth control method I've used.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I feel that this contraceptive has both positive and negative effects. I'm a little disappointed my breasts have not grown at all since I've been on Aviane. My moods are slightly more moody, but my cramps and periods are painless. This is a lower level of birth control - meaning it won't make you gain weight or any other negative side effects others would cause.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Endometriosis: I used to have such severe cramps that I would occasionally vomit or be completely incapacitated for the first few days. I tried so many different things to help, and was skeptical about Aviane, but not anymore. It worked. While I still experience a little pain on the first day of my period, it's nothing compared to before Aviane. I am continually impressed.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I first started taking Aviane in 2005 when Alesse was no longer offered. I loved it then and I love it now. I have no complaints about it. I recently started taking it again two months ago and it works the same. Little side effects. What I love best is I have not gained any weight as I have before on other pills. So before you listen to anyone else do your research and try it out for yourself. Hope this helps someone.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Aviane is pretty good! I read all the horror stories other people have had with it but went and got a prescription for it anyway. I haven't had any adverse side effects with it so far. My sex drive has not gone down, my breasts do feel a little bit fuller than before. I have no complaints.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Endometriosis: I started taking BCP years ago, and Aviane more recently in the past year or so for endometriosis/severe cramps while having my period. I am now pain free, so happy!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Have used this drug for several years - I started when Alesse was no longer carried by my pharmacy. I have not had any problems at all. It is also very inexpensive.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been using Aviane for a month and a half now and I see nothing wrong with it. It did not make me sick, I think I did notice a swing on my mood while I was having my period - not a serious one but I was more emotional, which I'm normally not. Hopefully it was just a bad week but other than that this pill did not affect my emotions towards more postive or negative.
