"I went in to have a permanent crown placed. The dentist gave me 2 shots of Lidocaine with epi. He pulled off my temporary crown and I felt the air hit my tooth. I told him I wasn't numb. He then gave me another shot and we waited 10 minutes. I still wasn't numb. He gave me another shot and it numbed it enough for him to place the permanent crown on and have me bite to adjust it. He took it off and drilled it while holding it thankfully. He put it back on and had me bite and it was good so he took it back off and put some food grade hydrogen peroxide on my tooth. I about jumped out of the chair because it hurt so bad. Then he had to put the cement on my tooth and because it was cold, I felt that as well. He was able to put the crown on after a minute. I had a 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" lump on my chin/cheek area that took almost a month to go away. My skin started to atrophy on my chin the day after the procedure and continued for several days. I now have a 1" wide depression on my chin."
