Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: I started taking this - before I was very moody - caused a lot of fights with my boyfriend from mood swings. I suffer from depression, PKD, POD, etc. I took the medication and within the first month I noticed I wasn't as moody. I'm also very overweight - lost 30 pounds first 2 months (granted I ate healthy and exercised but what a boost - POD is a heavy cause for weight gain). My hair also didn't grow as fast so I didn't have to shave as often and I was a lot happier person in the end. I've been told to switch to another one and I'm very very hesitant too - only due to this not being recommended for kidney disease.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: Made me so irritable! I've never experienced PMS, but when I was on this medication, I was so emotional - even when not menstruating.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: Yasmin was great for the couple years I was on it, but about a month after I quit taking it my hair started to shed more than usual. After three months I had about a 40% decrease in hair volume and became noticeably thin on top. This is very devastating because I am an attractive, healthy 27 yer old. This is the side effect they don't warn you of.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: So far I really like Yasmin, I had a mild problem with acne and serious mood swings. I was also having a significant amount of dark coarse facial hair due low amounts of estrogen. I've seen improvements in all 3 areas. I started taking Yasmin on the second day of my period and by the third day, my period was gone. The only downer is that it makes me really tired. I'm always a little cranky because I'm sleepy. It seems as though Yasmin is good for a lot of other problems young women have and it's just a plus that it prevents pregnancy.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I have taken Yasmin for 4 months. 1st month had increased acne, headaches, nausea, tender breasts and slight irritability. Half way through 2nd month skin started to improve and side effects stopped. My period came on 2nd day of taking white placebo pill. Usually the week before my period I have painful cramps and have to take pain killers, this time there was no bloating or cramps and pain. On the 3rd month and my skin is starting to heal and look a lot clearer, periods are normal and pain free. Only mild discomfit half an hour before my period starts. Yasmin will make your skin breakout when you first start taking it, but it will start to improve. After I wash my makeup off I can't believe how clear my skin is.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I've taken Yasmin for probably the last 3 years, but I've been using other birth control pills for 12 years and the pill I was using made me gain about 7-8 lbs of water weight. That's when my doctor put me on Yasmin, in a few days I lost the water weight, I don't get cramps, no mood swings, my periods last for 3-4 very light days and I only have them every 3 months, so if your doctor says you can take Yasmin I highly recommend it.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been on Yasmin since I was 15. My periods used to last 9-11 days, were heavy, and very painful. I can remember my mom keeping me out of school due to this. Not only was my cycle completely crazy, I had acne on my shoulders, upper back, and upper arms. Being in high school, something like this can be traumatizing. Anyway after almost 6 years, I have been acne free (maybe the occasional bump or 2) and 4-5 day easy periods! I did gain weight...but who knows if it was because of the birth control...like the lady said before she gained in all the "right" places so I can't complain about that one. I went up a whole up size! I plan on taking this until I decide to make a little one (another 4 years hopefully).

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I am 24 years old. Before I started Yasmin, I felt like I was trapped in a 47 year olds body; always tired, moody, angry and never seemed to lose weight. I've also tried every acne product know. None of them work (not for me anyway) until one day I saw a commercial on television, about "Yasmin". After talking it over with my doctor he told me to try it and see. WOW! Let me tell you what happen to me. I kid you not, after the 1st week my face was clear, I mean beautiful. I didn't have to ware any make-up and I lost 10lbs within the first month. And for some strange reason, people don't call me bipolar anymore. I tell you Yasmin works from inside out. It is GREAT.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been on Yasmin for 5 years, since I was 16. I stopped it for a few months (I switched jobs and lost my insurance). In that time I went to a clinic and was given their low-cost birth control pills. Once I got back on yasmin, I stopped having breakthrough bleeding, headaches, nausea, and everything in between. So of the two or three birth control brands I have tried, Yasmin is by far the best.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: Out of all the birth control pills, this one is best! Gained some weight in the "right" spots :) Less PMS, if any @ all, lighter periods/flow. And this pill is safe enough to take for 3 consecutive months, so you can have your period only 4 times a year!!! That's so AWESOME!

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I am 15 and I had a terrible acne problem, I mean it was bad! I tried Proactive to Oxy and so much more. My mom was spending a lot of money on things that did not work. I went to the dr. He prescribed face pads that didn't work then he prescribed a gel to apply to my face twice a day. The gel worked a little then we went back for the last time and he put me on Yasmin. I noticed a difference about a month after I started taking it. It has also helped with cramps and pms. Thanks Yasmin.

Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I've taken depo for about 5 years I have a very serious large amount of cyst in both my ovaries, a few Dr. have told me I have PCOS and I use to be in alot of pain from the cyst. My Dr. sugested surgery to remove my ovaries, so I went to a different Dr. My new Dr. prescribed be Yasmin as a birth control instead of the Depo I've been taking, it was so it would stop me from ovulating at all and sure enoughf within a month the pain was gone. Yasmin helped me get rid of my ovarian cyst problem.
