"For ME - a life changer! After years (about 25) of hydrocortisone replacement therapy, I asked (implored) the endocrinologist, who conducted my annual review, if there was anything, anything at all that he could offer me to give me even a marginal 5% improvement on the quality of my life. His response was to suggest that we might try dexamethasone. (10 mg once daily) Almost immediately, I got MY life back and re-discovered the pleasure of waking up in the morning, eyes wide open, Previously I would have had to drag myself under the shower before becoming awake. The horrible fatigue was reduced massively and, since that day (about 8-10 years ago, I have enjoyed good health. I personally cannot identify any negative issues, though medical science may have reservations, which possibly explains why it isn't a predominant form of treatment."

"I had a lot of trouble getting my levels stable with Hydrocortisone and Prednisone. On both I felt terrible. Dexamethasone makes me feel normal again, even with my Addison's disease , like a fully functioning human!!!!"

"After almost 3 years of anaphylaxis from hydrocortisone and prednisone, intolerance to pill form of dexamethasone that caused severe asthma attacks, acid reflux, constipation, geographic tongue, & thrush, I finally am being successfully treated with injectable dexamethasone. This is LIFESAVING! It’s working! I’m able to eat (been malnourished for at least 3 years) and I’m feeling like my body is trying to come back to life."

"Taking this medication 0.25 mg daily with 0.05 mg fludrocortisone after being experimenting with other corticosteroids. It has several advantages over hydro-cortisone and prednisolone: does not increase blood pressure significantly if I'm eating salty food, does not cause insomnia, requires only one single dose daily, and does not makes me hungry as prednisolone does."
