Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have cystic acne on my cheeks and on the sides of my lips. I had a bad breakout previous to getting this so when I started using it, it took only 2 days for these to clear up. Which was awesome. Only been 2 weeks. But so far so good. Also I think it's helping with the healing after the Zit. When I would normally get a dime sized purple spot after the cystic acne, this has cleared my acne without there being a spot after, so that's a plus. I have insurance but I was still given a discount card for this. 25$ with insurance. 75 without insurance."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I was put on aczone 5% about 2 years ago and it didn't really do much. I had tried everything (and I mean everything, changing my BC, proactive, you name it). My dermo put me on tretinoin .025% and my face started breaking out like crazy. I stuck with it for about a month and then I called my dermo really upset. They moved me to aczone 7.5% and tretinoin .05% and I stuck with that for about 6 months. Oh. my god. I haven't gotten a single pimple in 3 months, all my scars are gone, my skin looks AMAZING. I honestly never thought I would have clear skin in my life and I feel like I found the holy grail. It really sucks for about 2 months when you go through the purge and your skin dries out, but it is SOO worth it. I promise."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I'm 36 years old and I've had acne on and off since I was 12 years old. Within the last 5 years it has gotten significantly worse and I've tried just about every type of medicated treatment. Nothing really worked. I recently went to my Dermatologist for a refill on my Minocycline (oral antibiotic) and decided to ask about Aczone gel. I've only been using it for less than a week and I can't believe how well it's working on my face. I use it in conjunction with Minocycline. My acne has significantly reduced and my face feels smooth. I'm very excited about the results and I highly recommend Aczone. It's definitely worth a try if you have painful, stubborn acne."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I'm 18 and I never had bad acne when I was younger. Then when I was 16 started on birth control. My hormones went crazy and I started breaking out everywhere. I went to my dermatologists and she recommended Aczone along with using Cetaphil face wash twice a day. I started seeing results after a couple of days. It did take time to see full results. After 2 1/2 months I had beautiful clear skin, which is something I hadn't seen in a long time. I suggest you have patience with this product. I know I did and I am very pleased with the results."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I began experiencing acne when I turned 35. Of course I thought this was odd due to being midway to 40, so I dealt with it long as I could. I tried Proactive, it work for a while, Neutrogena, nothing was happening. It was almost like my face took turns into which side would break out first. I was always self conscious and began wearing make up to master the acne and the dark spots. Finally I became frustrated and decided to see a dermatologist for my never ending battle with my face. The Dermatologist recommended I try Doryx and Aczone. At first I did not see any change but it has now been almost three weeks and I notice a difference. Waiting for better results."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I struggled with acne since beginning middle school. all other topical medications were too harsh and either irritated my skin to where it was red and over oily, or it made my acne worse. Yes its normal to get worse before getting better, but after months of the other medicines it never got better. While using aczone, my acne never got worse, only better after the first few days. I have been using it for about 4 months now and my skin is completely smooth besides the occasional pimple that is barely there. All i have left to take care of are the scars that were left over the years. strongly recommend aczone to all with sensitive skin!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "If you have never used this product, try it. It might just turn out its works just as good for you as it did for me! All I can say is, it works, it works, it works. I have tried so many things including other RX that didn't have any results. I am 40, and used aczone (dapsone) gel for 3+ years now. The results are awesome, and yes I had every type of acne you can think of everyday since a teenager. Since using this medication once a day I have NO acne, zero. Even scarring is reduced. Talk to your doctor,, and all the best for success using this!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I've had acne ever since I was 14, but throughout the years it just got worse and worse. February of 2019 my acne became the worst it has ever been, it affected my mood every day and sometimes to the point where I wouldn't want to leave my house. I went to the dermatologist and was prescribed Aczone along with another topical cream called Bianca ( which is a retinoid). The doctor told me to apply the Aczone in the morning and the Bianca and night, and as sceptical as I was about these creams let me just tell you they work. You have to be patient because it does get worse before it gets better. I started the medication in April and my skin didn't clear up until September but please do not give up on this medication because it saved my self-esteem. It's also important to remember to only put a pea-sized amount... when I first started I would put a lot more than required and it started to make my face oily which caused more breakouts. Use only a little bit and it goes a long way!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "Highly recommend it. I am 38 and have had acne since my teens. I have tried pretty much everything including topical, oral, BCP, Accutane. I have become quite sensitive to oral medications over the years and none of the topicals seemed to help anymore ie. retin a, benzoyl peroxide. I saw a dermatologist recently who suggested Aczone for hormonal acne which is what I have and I was quite skeptical but to my surprise it really did help. After a couple of weeks I stopped having new break outs especially not the major cystic type acne that lasts for weeks and leaves scars. I have not had any side effects. If you have tried everything else this is worth a shot specially if you suffer from hormonal acne."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have tried almost everything under the sun as related to acne medicine. The only thing that worked for me is Aczone. I have only been using it for 10 days now but my face has cleared up so fast. I have never seen my skin look so good in the last 5 years. It doesn't irritate the skin and goes on very light and absorbs right in. Highly, highly recommended."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "Over the past year my skin has broken out so bad it left dark spots and looks horrible. My face, chest and back, I'm 32, no longer a teen, so this was unusual. I finally went to see a dermatologist, he examined my skin and prescribed Ziana gel, Aczone, and Doryx (oral antibiotic). It's been two weeks since using all three and my skin has done a 360. My skin feels like a baby's bottom and hasn't been this clear since I was on birth control. I have stopped taking the Doryx as taking antibiotics for a long period of time kills good and bad bacteria. My daily facial routine: wash with Dove sensitive skin soap, Aczone & Palmer fragrance free coco butter lotion in the morning, and Ziana gel at night. I would pay the $25 for Aczone as it works for me."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have been using Aczone for about a month now. I have had acne for years. I am now 26 and have recently experienced a pretty bad flareup of my acne, so for the first time I went to the dermatologist. After a couple of bad products, I finally got introduced to Aczone...and I love it. Since starting on it, my skin has cleared up dramatically without peeling or sensitivity issues. I use it once a day and have managed to still be using the tiny 3 g tube that I got as a sample, so a little goes a long way. I have a coupon for it when I finally fill my prescription (which I WILL be doing, regardless of the cost). Also, it's important for me to say that I am not on anything else--just Aczone."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "If you are a female suffering from cystic/hormonal acne- please give Aczone a try. During my sophomore year of college I developed cystic acne on my jaw line. I felt miserable all the time, caking on so much makeup just to feel normal. Aczone cleared up my skin in a week and is still clear a month later! However, I am still dealing with hyperpigmentation spots on my jaw/cheeks. Best of luck to you!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have had severe grade 4 cystic acne for well over 10 years now. I only really get cystic acne on my chin and jaw line (the rest of my skin is immaculate) and I don't have these nodules constantly, just every month or so. My nodules were so bad and large that I would need 3 to 4 injections to bring the swelling down. My initial road with Aczone was rough and truthfully did not work very well until I started to use it with other products. I still continued to break out and was losing hope, however Aczone in combination with these 2 other products has worked miracles for me. I use Equate BP cleanser and Alpha Hydrox intensive serum 14% (the best product ever) over the Aczone 2 times a day and my results have been amazing."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I am a 25 y/o African american female and I never had to see a dermatologist up until Nov 2016 because my face had turned for the worst after quitting BC! I had huge PAINFUL cystic acne on my jawline and cheeks(hormonal). My first few visits to the derm I was recommended the normal cetaphil, & topical & oral clindamycin. FAIL. I was prescribed Aczone 5% (once a day) in March 2017 & my skin is on its way to being flawless! It DEFINITELY gets worse between weeks 2-5, like additional acne in places I never had it before worse, but it will get better! DON'T QUIT! I'm on week 8 now. I may get a tiny pimple or 2 here & there but thats it. I will say that I upped my dose to 2x a day & still use the cetaphil prior. I'm happy I didn't have to resort to spiro =)"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "Aczone works really well. I had a lot of acne on my face specially on my chin area, upper lip and forehead due to bacteria infection and hormonal changes. After applying Aczone for about 3 weeks I could find difference in my face and it was amazing my face was clear. So, I would recommend this to everyone and best thing about Aczone is it will not make your skin too dry as other creams."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "BEST.ACNE.MEDICINE.EVER. I used Aczone for I’d say 2 months and boom, acne, GONE. I have been continuously using Aczone now for probably 4 years and it is still my tried and true. Whenever I do get a pimple here and there, I apply a dot of the product to the area a few times and day and within 24 hours it’s gone!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I use Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser, Aczone, and Neutrogena Oil Free SPF 15 moisturizer have healed my acne. I no longer get cystic acne or nodules. Occasionally I get pimples but this medication heals them in 1-2 days. Definitely worth the try!! Be careful what foundation brand you use to because that was the culprit to my acne as well. Fpr foundation I use Revelon’s combination skin foundations and a foundation brush by Elf. Sharing because most people don’t post their success stories."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "My Dermatologist prescribed me Aczone (morning) and Veltin (similar to Retin A in the evening)....Wow! my 4 month results are amazing. I think Aczone played a major part in minimizing my current cystic acne and keeping newly formed acne under control. My friend started using Retin A for the same reasons, during the same time I started my treatment. Our results were night and day. A lot of treatments will make your acne "get worse before it gets better." The major benefit of Aczone is not going through that phase. so far so GREAT! I am completely acne free..I haven't had a pimple in almost a month! "

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "Never written a review but this product is sensational. Best creme on the market, doesn't irritate skin and very effective for preventing and healing acne. Works well on face but even better on chest/back I found. Just a few heads up. Don't use with any hydrogen peroxide based products(moisturizer creme etc) at this will temporarily turn your skin brown. Also don't apply too much at a time as it takes a long time to absorb(it will be visible for a short period). After using accutane I thought that was the only thing that could really help acne but this works almost as well"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have struggled with chin acne for most of my adult life (now 63). I have pretty much tried everything, but my sensitive skin just did not tolerate most products, even benzyl peroxide 2.5%. So, kind of at the end of my rope, I decided to try Aczone. After a week, I was ready to give up! I had about 20 new lesions -- but after reading about how it can take a few weeks to see any improvement -- I stuck it out. It took about 12 weeks to see a huge improvement to the point that I don't have any lesions at all! The overall tone of my skin is much less pigmented and translucent and now looks like it matches the rest of my skin. So, my advice to others wanting to try it is to stick with it. I have received many compliments on the change!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I started breaking out for the first time when I turned 20 years old. It was terrible, cystic acne and I tried everything before going to the dermatologist. When I finally did, I was prescribed Aczone and Retin-A. During the first three weeks, my skin got worse. All my cystic acne rose to the top and turned into white heads. My skin also become flaky at the same time from the Retin-A. I wanted to stop and give up, but so glad I didn't. Now my skin is almost completely clear and it's been 6 weeks. Please don't give up on this treatment. Continue to use it as your doctor prescribed and you will see results. I still have some redness but overall my skin is smooth and I finally feel comfortable in it!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "After I stopped taking my birth control pill I had experienced full blown severe acne. My body was used to taking it for 7 years so my hormones have been all out of whack. I wanted to cry everyday in the mirror looking at myself being 21 years old with a pizza face. Tried EVERYTHING and as soon as I was about to give up I was prescribed Aczone. After ONE DAY I began to see a difference. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and am almost completely acne free. I SWEAR by this stuff it is the best thing that's ever happened to me regarding skin."

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "I have tried every recommended acne product whether it be topical or tablets and this is the only thing that has worked INCREDIBLY well for me. I was prescribed this in August 2018 along with Spironolactone (commonly used for high blood pressure but works to kill acne by slowing down oil production) and my skin is perfect right now. I'm not going to lie it was a little rough in the beginning 1-2 months in I was getting quite a few pimples, many flare-ups randomly. But it went by so fast I don't discourage this product because of that. I went from not wanting to go out of the house most of the time to leaving with no makeup on every day, you need to try this! The only negative thing is that the Aczone is expensive. My insurance doesn't cover it but it's so worth it to me. Hope this helps!"

Aczone (dapsone) for Acne "Only reason I am sharing this experience is because I've literally tried everything and anything you can imagine to get my skin clear.I have a stressful job which doesn't help either. I tried spirolactone which made my face even worse, and have tried every prescription face cream there is. I have very sensitive skin that is sensitive to hormonal changes. I went to the derm to get a cortizone shot for a huge cyst and was not planning on going on a new prescription cream until she recommended Aczone. At first I said no and accepted the fact that my skin was never going to be where I wanted it to be, but she gave me a sample to try before buying just in case. I was bored one night and decided to start trying it- what else do I have to loose? After 3-4 weeks of Aczone, this changed my skin. I haven't had a prescription cream work this well and I am almost scared to post this to jinx it- but if you've tried everything and just given up, please try this."
