Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Migraine: Periactin helps control my migraines which are almost daily. I would probably do better if I were able to remember to take it 4 times a day instead of morning and evening.

Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Sexual Dysfunction, SSRI Induced: I was prescribed this medication for help with my migraines which seem to be caused by histamines from allergies. It is an antihistamine and antidepressant which is also helpful.

Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Allergic Reactions: I used Periactin for approximately 6 months to relieve an allergic reaction and it worked extremely well. It did make me drowsy though, therefore I halved the dose I was recommended.

Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Migraine: This medication has virtually eliminated my 12 year old son's (almost daily) migraine headaches. He has had no significant side effects and it has greatly increased his quality of life and ability to succeed in school.

Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Anorexia: Used this for severely underweight toddler (borderline failure to thrive) to gently bring the weight back on to the growth chart. Managed to bring the weight up from off the chart to 25% (for a 90% height baby).

cyproheptadine for Anorexia: I was only 90lbs at the age of 47, in 2005. I started taking cyproheptadine syrup in March of 2005. I gained 50lbs, in a months time. In April of 2005 I was weighing 140lbs. I still weigh 140lbs and my husband says I look good. I'll tell anybody who wants to gain weight to get cyproheptadine syrup.

Periactin (cyproheptadine) for Cluster Headaches: This drug great for cluster headaches. I have spoken with over 150 cluster headache suffers. I took one tablet each night for the first week and it has ended the cycle of headaches. The first night after taking one you will still have a headache, but it will last about one half hour or so. On the second night according to the people I have spoken with, 145 out of the 150 had the cycle of headaches ended. The remaining 5 on the 3rd and 4th day. Keep in mind you must take this medicine up to 2 months to make sure the cycle is contained. The only way to know is to judge how you feel. Your doctor cannot do this for you. I have been having these headaches for 18 years. PLEASE TRY.

cyproheptadine for Anorexia: My son has been taking this medication to help gain weight. It has helped his appetite and seemed to help with his morning sneezing also. We give him a teaspoon in the evening and he is hungry before bed and eats more in the morning now.

cyproheptadine for Anorexia: I had been trying to gain weight for over twenty years, but just did not have a big enough apetite. Started taking cypoheptadine and vitamin B supplement (B1,B2,B6 and B12), I gained 30 lbs. in 6 months and the response from coworkers, family and friends were unbelievable. Everyone said I looked great. I went from a size 3 to a size 7, and I am overjoyed.
