"I had a bad episode of BV and was first prescribed Metronidazole but soon after that treatment I too began having a yeast infection. After being treated for the yeast (I think it was Flagyl), my BV returned. I have since then been prescribed Clindamycin but for whatever reason it won’t stay in me! I’ve used it as prescribed (bedtime only), but the next morning it’s coming out with my pee and when I wipe it is all on the tissue! Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there not enough medication left up in me to actually begin working???"

"I'm reading comments and no one has said anything about the white cream turns brown by the end of the day. Had anyone experienced this? This is my 1st time taking this. Only did one insertion after reading the reviews will not do another in fear of the worst yeast infection of my life. (Yikes) don't feel like dealing with a burning vagina yano?? I took my 1st cream dosage last night and as of tonight its starting to come out but its turned brown. Who else has dealt with this?"

"I thought I'd share my experience with clindamycin vaginal cream as many of the other reviews, well haven't been exactly great ! I have been using this for BV for the last 5 days I have 2 more days left to use it at first I was a bit scared after most review said there was severe burning which is what put me off the most I just want to put it out there that I haven't had any burning pain or side effects from using this cream at all. My BV symptoms went after the first dose and I have been using it at the same time before bed every night. So don't let the bad reviews put you off trying it because the side effects don't apply to everyone I have given it a 9/10 because even tho my symptoms have gone for now I don't know if they will return or not"

"Hey all - I felt as though it was my duty as a woman to review this medication for the rest of you ladies out there. I was diagnosed with general bacterial vaginosis & was TERRIFIED to use this.. considering the awful reviews I read through - I was prescribed the 7 day cream, as well as a general amoxicillin... I am only on 2 day but I have not experienced ANY side effects at all.. I also heard negative things about leakage - but I have not experienced this.. except for when I first woke up and went to the bathroom - which I expected. A quick shower did the trick and I am now sitting at work on my 8th hour with no discomfort or problems!"

Clindesse (clindamycin) "My doc gave me Clindesse as a last resort to my 6 month vaginal discharge issue. Luckily she gave me a free sample. I inserted it on Wednesday night and by Friday afternoon I had a raging yeast infection! Called the doc back and she prescribed Diflucan to counteract the Clindesse induced yeastie. This changed my ongoing symptoms for the worse! Ladies I sincerely hope this med works for most of you but for me, it didn't. For being someone who has never had side effects of any meds this was certainly a first for me."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I read review's about Clindesse and was very skeptical. I used it and the foul odor went away in a matter of hours. I read that it gives you a yeast infection so I took something to prevent it. Fast forward...Clindesse is a very powerful antibiotic. It literally cleans out all of the old bacteria that metronidazole didn't get. I'm on day 5 and it's still excreting bacteria but not like in the beginning. I finally feel a sense of relief. Everyone's chemistry is different so it may work on one woman differently than another. I'd absolutely try it again."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I had a very pungent odor and was diagnosed with BV. I was a little skeptical about clindesse because oral clindamycin and me do not agree. However, I inserted the clindesse before bed and the next day the odor was not existent. I haven't had any side effects so I'm a fan or this product. If you don't have insurance, it can be a bit pricey. So just go online and print or download the coupon card."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I have had issues with Bacterial vaginitis (BV) in the past and once I learned what caused them haven’t had any problems. I was a little careless recently and was so happy when my doc offered this one time dose instead of the usual week long flagyl treatment. It worked immediately but after two days I started having vaginal itching like crazy 3rd day a white thick discharge started - vaginal yeast infection. I am waiting until the 7 days are up to treat the yeast infection the med gave me and I regret not choosing the flagyl. The cause of my BV is semen. It’s sucks to avoid getting that in me but so does smelling like a fish. Once I figured it the cause of BV I’ve been BV free for almost a decade."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I have been struggling with BV for about 15 years. At first I was being treated for a yeast infection finally I was given flagyl first second and third round didn't work then they went to the metronidazole gel all 7 rounds no success I have been trying to conceive so do this was a hard pill to swallow. I'm on 27 I just couldn't understand so I researched different med and went back to my doctor with questions she prescribed clindesse I rushed home showered and inserted the med. Next day I felt so much better I was dancing around the house it's day for with not a symptom of any kind of love this product hopefully the BV remains gone"

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I was prescribed this cream after already taking oral medications that failed to work because I have had a gastric bypass and the pills were not absorbed by my body enough to get rid of my b.v. I put it in at night and felt 70% better in the morning when I woke up."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "This med. was prescribed to me 3months ago for vaginal "Ecoli" I did not have any symptoms at all of b.v. or "Ecoli" until I used it! I have had a extreme issues! A Shingles out break the days after using it, burning, itching, swelling, oral and vaginal yeast infection. My immune system has been severely low and I can not seem to get better. This med. Ruined my life! I went to the doc. feeling normal, but after using clindesse I feel like I have Aids! I was tested last year and I was negative, so now 3months later and my body is all messed up. Worse med. I have ever taken!"

"I've used all antibiotics both orally and vaginally for BV including this one. They all work but the recurrence rate is very high. The reason is gardrenella, the bacteria that causes BV creates a biofilm to protect itself from the antibiotics. I finally found a doctor who prescribed this drug but had me use boric acid suppositories starting the first day on the antibiotics for a total of twenty one nights. According to the CDC, boric acid destroys the biofilm so the antibiotic can work and also restores the healthy acidic Ph balance in the vagina so the good bacteria (lactobacillus) can keep the bad bacteria (gardrenella) in check. As a maintenance plan, I use either clinadmycin or metrogel every night for five nights for six months and boric acid suppositories two nights a week. Amazon sells the suppositories. The key to stopping the hamster wheel of chronic BVs is to not just rely on one course of treatment but to also do maintenance."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "Clindesse is a life saver! My BV is cured! I had no real side effects. I always eat yogurt and take probiotics too! The drug is pricey but worth every penny! The one dose is awesome! I wish the price would go down though. I have to give this drug a 10 rating!"

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I did have bacterial vaginosis. Doctors were treating me for yeast infection. No one did a culture. They even gave me Metronidazole 4 pills in one shot. I developed sensitivity to it. Clindesse cream was smooth, calmed my symptoms and with only one time application my nightmare was gone."

"Ive had BV for about a year & about 8 months ago I was prescribed metro (which I have taken in the past 6-10 times because I seem to be prone to BV) Normally after treating BV with metro BOOM yeast infection here I come Rewind 8 months back, on metro day 2 I broke into hives all over my body which lead to me having terrible anxiety around any antibiotic. I even stopped swallowing vitamins whole I would crush or open capsule. Eventually I decided it’s time to treat this BV and grow up! I took Clindamycin capsules which took me about 2 months to accept I was trying an antibiotic First round failed & 2nd round also Both times on pill I wasn’t getting relief and symptoms got worse after day 3 (maybe because I was opening capsule & diluting in a shot glass with juice I finally took the cream right now, after weeks of reading horrible reviews my anxiety has been bad but this needs to be treated I inserted cream around 11, Some leakage 0 burning and no other side effects I’ll keep u posted"

Clindesse (clindamycin) "I was experiencing a horrible BV. I would be embarrassed because I was having a bad odor and felt sweaty with discharge. I informed my gyn when I got my annual pap. He prescribed me Clindesse and gave me a coupon for it $75 off!!! I ended up paying $35 out of pocket. I got home that evening showered and inserted medication. I took it on Tuesday and today is Thursday and so far no discharge, no foul odor no sweat. So relieved. I was only wondering if the medication would come back out or have a nasty discharge like the other reviews I read. I would recommend this medication."

Cleocin Ovules (clindamycin) "It worked very well on my condition. No awful side effects, since I expected the burning sensation after reading the information abut it. I only had problems keeping the ovule in, since it appears to get stuck in the applicator."

"I inserted this last night and it's been burning and itching ever since. Tonight the burning and itching is so bad that I feel like going to the Emergency Room. I feel like someone poured acid in my vagina. I don't even know how I'm going to get any sleep tonight. Why would my Dr. even take a chance at prescribing this for me."

"A lot of the Western medicine out there is a joke and it’s nothing but a money hungry business to keep you coming back for more. A tube of this costs $91 and sure it takes the burn and smell away but once you’re done it’s back. I’ve been dealing with BV now for 3 months and I’m done with the deceiving promises and have headed the homeopathic rout. Do something good for your body, don’t give it garbage"

Cleocin Ovules (clindamycin) "Great! I did the 3 ovule treatment and it was noticeably improved after day 1. This stuff is expensive! The applicator doesn't work; the ovule gets stuck. I was very happy w the results! I don't know if it will reoccur, but time will tell. Going to attack my diet, I wonder if that may make a difference."

"Have been on it since April. Did the 14 days, then twice a week, now once a week and hope to be done in October. Had my Gyn paid attention to me it wouldn't have been so bad. The specialist had to first rile out any cancer as I had uterine cancer surgery the summer of 2012. It was bacterial and I'm getting tired of "still recovering". For the person who said the ovule gets stuck in the applicator, I reread the directions the first time I used it and it said you can use your finger. Much easier."

"This was by far the most horrendous experience I have encountered with any medication to date. I went to the ER for pain, fever, nausea, and diarrhea. They thought I had the flu. Since we are in the midst of a deadly flu season, and currently pregnant, I freaked out. My second thought was listeria. After several days terrified of food poisoning, and feeling on the brink of death, my provider mercifully took me off this. If my life depended on this drug to survive I would have to seriously debate whether to take it or not. Seek other options if available."

Clindesse (clindamycin) "Clindesse didn't work for me -- and it sure was expensive! My doctor prescribed it rather than a less expensive alternative because it's a one-dose treatment. Worked for about a month the first time, then back to doctor. Second time it worked for a week. Wasted a lot of money."
