Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I personally believe The Z-Pak should be the #1 Drug Prescribed on the Market if you need to maintain your Health FAST & be yourself again. I seem to be prone to Strep Throat, Severe Sinustitis & Resp. Infections in the Fall & Winter. A couple of years ago I was 'Due to have Surgery in 6 Days' and was told "if I was sick I would have to Postpone it". Well after waiting a month for this Surgery, planning a Home & Dog Sitter & Time off from work 'working it in with everyone else's Schedules, to me it was Imperative I be well enough 4 all to go as planned'. "5 day Z-Pac was prescribed". It is a no nonsense drug and I can not think of a single side effect. I was well enough for surgery to go on as planned.

azithromycin for Sinusitis: I have started this on 11/9/2009 for my sinus infection. Day 4 felt better but still have runny nose and stuffy right ear, ringing in ears. Hope this goes away and I don't have a repeat. 1 more day, I have had nausea but not sick. Not sure if I can take anything to dry up runny nose with this. If I can get rid of runny nose and ear ringing I hope to be okay.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis: I'm on the 3rd day of the 5-day treatment (2 pills on day 1 and 1 pill each of the next 4 days) and have had no bad side effects when taking this medication. My bronchitis finally seems to be clearing up and I'm pleased with this medication.

azithromycin for Sinusitis: For almost two years I have been suffering from upper respiratory tract infection and sinusitis. I used to sneeze several times followed by running nose whenever I came in touch with the cold air mostly early in the morning or while venturing out. Then I was prescribed azithromycin 500 along with Allegra and after taking one dose I am feeling much better. The important thing to remember is the adherence to precautions as specified for this drug and the complete dosage prescribed by the doctor.

azithromycin for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection: It is a very effective medicine if taken with full precautions and complete dosage as prescribed by the doctor. I am feeling well within 24 hrs but will continue the dosage for 2 more days to complete the cycle.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I get sinusitis several times a year. The old-fashioned 5-day Z-packs used to work really well for me. They still do "knock down" the worst of it (I carry a filled prescription from my doctor when I'm traveling on business) ... but in the past several years I've noticed that sometimes the sinusitis will rebound in a couple of weeks and I end up having to take a different type of antibiotic.
Unfortunately, those secondary antibiotics tend to get to me -- queasy stomach, the "taste" of the medicine even hours later. None of that with Zithromax. The only time I had a bad experience with Zithromax side effects was the three-day pack.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis: For about 10 days now, I had a VERY bad cough, and severe congestion in my lungs (coughed SO much till I thought I were going to actually break a rib )...went to my local emergency room, where the attending doctor sent me home with a 'Z Pack' (5 day regimen of the Zithromax, PLUS a bottle of GUAIFENSIN cough syrup). I'm now on my third day of these antibiotics and am not, thankfully, coughing as much as I did.

azithromycin for Bronchitis: Every year around October, I develop a severe case of bronchitis and coughing so bad that it racks every bone in my body. As soon as it starts, my MD prescribes the Z-Pack (this time the 3-pack of 500mg) and by the third day I feel almost better, lungs are clearer and coughing subsides. I have never had any side effects or drug interactions with this medication. It is the best I have ever used for bronchitis.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection: I've used the Zithromax Z-Pack several times over the years and have found it to be the ONLY pharmaceutical that actual works QUICKLY and the problem doesn't return upon finishing up the prescription. I'm prone to a once a year, or once every two year throat infection. Extremely sore, dry yet phlegmy throat without any other signs of a cold. No cough, runny nose, sneezing nor fever. By the second day of taking this pack, my symptoms have already begun to subside. A very effective drug, indeed.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I am taking it for my sinus infection. I am feeling better as far as my sinuses go. But I have had diarrhea 5 times today.

azithromycin for Sinusitis: If I take this for sinusitis, it doesn't clear it up and in a few days I'm even sicker. I don't like taking Augmentin and Biaxin, but they're the only ones that have worked for me.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Otitis Media: After my son had the croup for three weeks and spent ten days on Augmentin and fighting with a two year old to administer it twice a day, he developed a severe sinus infection. The physician prescribed liquid Zithromax that had to be given once per day and only for five days and did not need to be refrigerated which was great since we were traveling and best of all it got rid of the croup and the sinus infection very fast - it's a winner.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I was prescribed Zithromax for an upper respiratory infection and I did not have such a good experience. The first day I had really bad diarrhea. I couldn't even leave the house. The 2nd day I was overwhelmed with nausea. I took the pill with food and still felt sick to my stomach the entire day and night. Today I have decided the terrible side effects are not worth it, and I'm not going to take the rest of my prescription.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis: I was prescribed a 5 day Z-Pak to treat a Streptococcal pharyngitis infection. After the second day, the medication reduced the swelling and throat pain, but began to cause stomach cramping and pain. By the end of the third day the stomach pain was severe and Doctor recommended to discontinue use. This is the only antibiotic I have used that has caused an allergic reaction.

azithromycin for Bronchitis: I had a 3-day course of Azithromycin (Z-Pack) to stop a case of Bronchitis, and it worked. Unfortunately, the bacteria (I think) got into my inner ear. Now I am starting a 5-day course (at my request) for the earache. If these drugs don't work it's often not the fault of the drug itself, but of the misuse by previous patients and/or doctors, leading to drug-resistant bacterium. Note: I resist taking drugs until my immune system seems not to be working.

azithromycin for Sinusitis: Azithromycin cured some of my symptoms to temporarily improve, but it did not get rid of the sinus infection, which has gotten worse since I took Azithromycin about two months ago.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I have used a Z-Pak several times. I love that it helps clear up whatever bacteria is causing my illness. I don't love each consecutive time that I take it, the side effects are more pronounced.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: I started the pack on Sunday and experienced diarrhea and mild itchiness. I'm on my last day and I'm feeling really good. This medicine seemed to work very well. I was hesitant at first, but it seems to clear things up very well.

I had recurrent infections. If not treated, wind up with an infection over 2-3 weeks. Doctor once thought I had tuberculous, before getting xrays.
Taking this cured it in 3 days. This works the best after trial and error over the years.

azithromycin for Bronchitis: My 90-year-old mother was given the 6 tablet blister card/pack, and she took the first dose (2-250 mgs) as per her physician ordered at 3:30 p.m. Within 4 hours she developed abdominal pain, overnight she was not able to urinate and that continued until 10:30 a.m. the next day. We ended in the emergency room by 2:30 p.m. Subsequently, my mother had the worst case of diarrhea that I have ever seen, which was also caused by the antibiotic Levaquin. I have now added both of these drugs to her allergic list.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: After years of suffering a one nostril clog. I was recently prescribed a 5 day 250MG dosage of Zithromax.
I had zero side effects and it although it didn't totally clear my sinus infection it cleared it enough for me to know it was absolutely effective and on the right path.
I can now get lengthy periods of use out of my other nostril and that's better than I've had in 10 years.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare, Treatment: I have been taking this on a weekly basis for the past 8 months but I noticed that in the last three weeks it's been giving me diarrhea the moment I take it. It just goes right through me.
This medication is effective, but you have to make sure your body can handle it. I did, for a while, until recently.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Sinusitis: After I take the first dose (2 pills) within 8 to 10 hours I feel 50% better. It usually does not take more then 4 days to be well. This is a great medication for sinusitis.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis: My ears hurt from the throat infection. This medicine gives relief in a couple of days and finished the infection off.

azithromycin for Sinusitis: I was givin this med for sinusitis and it did improve that but it caused stomache upset and diarrhea. I would prefer to be treated with something else from now on.

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Otitis Media: Had strep throat and double ear infection including one ruptured ear drum. Was so sick, but after 24 hours on Z-Pak, major turn-around with 80% recovery within 48 hours. Much faster and more effective than Amoxicillin or similar.
