Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "My headaches have been a true mix of both tension/migraine. I cannot tolerate triptans, due to heart and blood pressure issues. I could not function without this medicine, when I have a bad headache, that can keep me in bed for days. One warning, as I've been on and off these for 20 plus years - and you will be up a tolerance, and risk of rebounds - so take early when you feel one coming on, so as not to need more during the day."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "Suffered from migraines for 14 years trying dozens of over the counter and scripts. I ended up in the er because I had a migraine for a month straight day and night. I was told that day I have a tumor in my brain. I had to see a neurologist for my tumor and he prescribed them to me. It is a wonder pill for me. It has been 4 years now I only get a migraine once in a while. I gave me my life back. I am a mother of 3 and recommend it to every single person I meet that suffers from migraines. So that they can have their lives back as well."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "Listen. I have suffered with migraine for 40 years. MSG is a big trigger and so is smoke, stress, chemicals like insecticide, exhaust from a car, broken sleep, and many others. I don’t get vision disturbance. Just headaches. I take Maxalt but doesn’t always work if I don’t catch it early enough. I’ve taken Fiorcet with and without codeine. Both relieve the pain but it takes 4 non codeine pills to do the same job as one or two with codeine. Because of all of the overdosed and news about our epidemic/crisis doctors don’t want to write them any more. I get the addictive nature of the drugs but they do work well when they are used sparingly. I just want the pain to stop. Fiorcet works."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "It really helped me out. I used to be on the regular Fioricet and then my migraines got worse and the dr changed me to the Fioricet with codiene. I like this one much better, however it gives me a strange feeling after about 30 min. It's not a bad feeling but its waaawaaa is the best decription. It helps control my migraines though. I don't have many side effects except constipation."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "This drug is amazing! Within minutes my migraine went down and it took the pressure off my eyes! I'm so amazed by this! I have also arthritis and it also helped me take some pressure off my back. Its a blue and yellow capsule. It has 30mg of codeine in it I believe. I was dying all day literally with this migraine. I couldn't move or it was worse. I went to my pain management doctor for a refill on another medicine and I told him about this migraine and he did a great job of taking good care of me! Thank you."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "I suffered chronic migraines from allergies to environmental factors for which nobody seemed to want to give me anything. OTC drugs were useless. Imitrex was a life-saver. I was the first one in line when the shot to the leg was invented, but it seemed a little radical for the everyday 8-10s. Then one doctor gave me Fioricet with codeine. It worked. AT last a drug that worked. When I returned for more he told me I couldn't have it because it worked too well. Is this not a stupid society. Fifteen years of pain and suffering through work and kids' events and when I find something that works I am told I can't have it because it works."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "This medication is wonderful for patients who cannot tolerate triptans. I had a terrible cardiac reaction to Relpax years ago and spent a night in the hospital being monitored. I am a healthy, young woman so this experience was horrifying and I was very afraid that I would never find relief for my migraines. My neurologist prescribed this medication along with starting Botox treatments. She was right on the money with this treatment plan! My headaches have become less frequent and far less severe and with the addition of Fioricet with codeine, I can easily treat my migraines with minimum intrusion into my busy life."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "It works very well...for 3 hrs., which is too bad. Please take as directed. If not, you'll run out early. Believe me, you'll be sorry when you're in pain and realize you've run out. It's very tempting to take more when you're in pain, but DO NOT DO IT!"

For Headache "I've been taking Fioricet for over 30 years. The only thing that works. I use to take Midrin but it was outlawed. I think we need somebody in the FDA with migraines and headaches. They'll at least have an understanding. Fioricet/codeine work best but have gone back and forth without codeine depending on Dr. Just take 2 at a time w/o cod. 7 years ago my problems started with Medicare. My Dr. would write at least 2 letters because I kept calling her. # 3 days into a headache I visited the office and told my Dr. I was looking at bridges. I am happy to say, Medicare and my Dr. are on board. My concern is the new government agenda on eliminating or cutting back on the drug w/o concern for the patients. I'm 72 and not over using the product."

It works quickly with no side affects. Doctors usually push the newer headache drugs tho, and I don’t know why, when this works the best."

For Headache "When you're out of options when it comes to severe migraines, Fioricet is a life saver. Even after trying Tylenol, Motrin, Excedrin, Imitrex, etc. to no avail, my mother was prescribed Fioricet for her headaches. I took two and after maybe 15 minutes, my crippling migraine was gone! And when I say crippling, I mean it. I can't open my eyes without vomiting, severe pain across my forehead, light and sound sensitivity... Fioricet, even WITHOUT codeine, is a God sent. I would recommend anyone with severe headaches to ask their doctor about it."

Fioricet with Codeine (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine / codeine) for Headache "I am surprised that a pain management specialist would give this drug as a first choice. The entire Triptan line starting with the first drug exclusively for migraine headaches, Imitrex, is available for migraine headaches. Any Triptan that is administered and results are felt within 15-20 minutes, also prove that the headache is a migraine. Headache epidemiology is quite complex and the migraine may be masking a tension headache or vice versa. Fioricet with codeine has a place in tension headaches, but not really in most true migraines. I take this drug, or another like it, after I take Maxalt (one of the triptan drugs), if there is still pain left after the Maxalt has relieved the migraine aspect of the headache. In that case it is a 10."

For Headache "This is a great med for migraines!! I don't know why insurance stopped covering it, but it's absolutely ridiculous especially when you finally find something that helps when you have 24/7 pain!! I would suggest it to anyone that has severe migraine pain. It is FAR superior to the one without codeine. Taking the regular one is just like taking an OTC med. A waste of time and money. I've heard it can cause rebound headaches, but I've never had that problem with this med or any other."

For Headache "This medication has been great. I suffer from tension headaches daily and occasionally migraines. This medication helps relieve the stiff muscles in my neck so I can stretch. It’s the only thing I’ve found to work. My pharmacist is getting nervous and has been checking in with my doctor who thankfully continues to prescribe. I don’t know what I would do without it! It’s given me my life back. With the whole opioid crisis, I pray I can continue to take it."

The only thing that really helps my migraine/neck aches (often these will trigger the former). Taken over 10 years only when I sense I need it. Pray really helps too if desperate to get rid of it."

For Headache "I have been taking this drug for many years as I suffer bad migraines daily since 30 years ago, this drug has always been successful for relieving them. I recently was given a different brand of supposedly the same drug as my pharmacy ran out of this bran . I took it and my ears were ringing very badly and it did not ease my headache. I thought it was just me and had to suffer with the headach . A few days later I took a pull again and same thing happened, ringing ears and no relief of headache. I called pharmacy and asked for my old headache pills which they had some in stock but said they can no longer get them from this company breckenridge. I picked up the old brand of pills the pharmacy had, and they worked ,taking my headache away and no ringing my ears . Now how am I supposed to find a pharmacy that carries this brand near my my house ?"
