SAN DIEGO, May 15, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Tioga Pharmaceuticals announced today that data from a 596 subject Phase 2b study of asimadoline, the company's drug candidate for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), will be featured in a late-breaking oral presentation session at the Digestive Disease Week 2008 Annual Meeting.

Asimadoline is an orally administered small molecule that is a highly selective kappa opioid receptor agonist.
