HYDERABAD, INDIA (Nov 18, 2008) – Several data presentations from Suven’s portfolio of investigational neuroscience new chemical entities (NCEs) are being presented at Neuroscience 2008 meeting being held at Washington DC, USA during 15-19 November 2008. Neuroscience is the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience (SFN) where more than 30 thousand Neuro Scientists from all over the world covering all the major Pharma and Academic research Institutions would attend and present the most exciting and cutting edge research in the field of neuroscience.
Suven is presenting new data in the 5 promising areas of neuroscience viz. Alzheimer’s, Schizophrenia, Parkinson, Sleep and Obesity diseases. These areas present significant unmet medical need for which current treatment options are insufficient. Suven has a number of programs in each of these areas, focusing on novel approaches that may lead to the development of new therapies for patients.
Suven is committed to neuroscience research and for development of new treatments for neurological disorders. Suven’s discovery research focuses on Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders through novel mechanisms using small-molecule medicinal chemistry approaches. Suven’s CNS drug discovery scientists at Hyderabad, India are pursuing innovative ways to develop treatments for a variety of CNS disorders like Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia, Depression, Cognitive disorders, Sleep, Neurodegeneration and Obesity through CNS targets.
