Sarah Holloway Elected to HBA Metro Board

New York, October 6, 2010 – Sudler & Hennessey, a global healthcare and communications agency whose presence is supported by offices around the world, is proud to announce the election of a key staff member, Sarah Holloway, PhD, Senior Vice President Strategic Planning, to Director of Evening Programs for the Metro Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).

According to Louisa Holland, Co-CEO the Americas, “Sarah possesses a rare combination of qualities—an exhaustive pursuit of knowledge, deep creativity, and a relentless drive to exceed expectations. These characteristics, as well as more than 10 years in pharmaceutical marketing, have helped Sarah to quickly excel in her role as a strategic planner.”

Rob Rogers, Co-CEO the Americas added, “Sarah brings strong strategic skills and a high level of energetic and innovative thinking to our business. Her peers and clients value her contributions and partnership. Sarah embodies the highest qualities of S&H by adding value to every interaction.”

Earlier this year, Sarah was recognized as an HBA “Rising Star” because of noteworthy achievements and potential for career growth and development and was honored at the 2010 HBA Awards Luncheon held in New York City on May 6th.

In her role as Director Evening Programs, Sarah will oversee all Events/Programs hosted by the Chapter. The Director is also responsible for developing volunteer leaders who make up the Program Committee, developing a strategy for programs to occur over an 18 month calendar, and overseeing all aspects of event management for the Chapter.

In a recent interview published in October’s issue of Pharmavoice, Sarah talked about some of the experiences that have shaped her career to date. In particular, Sarah described the importance of mentoring and of building good industry networks. “I have had the benefit of having very influential mentors at critical parts in my career that were fundamentally helpful. I also discovered the important lesson that you can be more successful by harnessing the power of a team. I carried this lesson throughout my career –I was lucky enough to have a good mentor who knew how to draw out the best in me,” stated Dr. Holloway.

Sarah hopes that, in her new role as Director of Evening Programs for the Metro Chapter of the HBA, the programs offered will continue to help others develop their own networks, foster new mentoring relationships and enhance their overall career progression.

In her current role as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, Sarah provides a leadership role in analyzing the market and providing optimal strategic direction for S&H clients and their brands.
