Adnexus Therapeutics Announces Additional Phase I and Preclinical Data on CT-322 at 6th International Congress on Targeted Therapies in Cancer

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 27, 2007 - Adnexus Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that the company presented additional Phase I and preclinical data on Angiocept (CT-322), the company's novel anti-angiogenesis agent, at The 6th International Congress on Targeted Therapies in Cancer that was held in Washington, DC at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel August 24-26, 2007. The presentation titles and the associated speakers were as follows:

Angiocept (CT-322), Adnexus' first drug candidate, is in an ongoing Phase 1 trial in oncology in the United States. Angiocept is an Adnectin that was designed to be both a potent and highly specific antagonist of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2). VEGFR-2 activation is believed to be the primary driver of the growth of new blood vessels that support tumor growth. Angiocept has been demonstrated in preclinical studies to block activation of VEGFR-2 by all of its known protein activators, VEGF-A, VEGF-C, and VEGF-D.
