Actelion to announce results from 'proof-of-concept'/dose ranging study of its novel orexin receptor antagonist during the 2007 World Sleep Congress

ALLSCHWIL, Switzerland, Aug. 27, 2007 - Actelion will issue a media release on Sunday, 02 September 2007 (08:00 Basel CEST/ 16:00 Cairns, Australian EST), announcing the results from the proof-of-concept/dose ranging study into the effect of the novel orexin receptor antagonist in patients with primary insomnia. This announcement takes place at the start of the 2007 World Sleep Congress, Cairns, Australia to coincide with the publication of the congress abstract book

Pre-clinical data will be presented during the congress’ official poster sessions on Monday, 03 September 2007, 16:00-18:00 Cairns, Australian EST and Wednesday 05 September 2007, 16:00-18:00 Cairns, Australian EST.

Data from the proof-of-concept/dose ranging study will be presented as part of the late breaking oral presentation session on Wednesday 05 September 2007, 14:15-14:25 Cairns, Australian EST.

An Actelion-organized and hosted scientific educational event will take place in Cairns on Wednesday 05 September 2007 (13:00-14:00 Basel CEST/21:00-22:00 Cairns, Australian EST) and provide a forum for presentation and debate on the data presented at the congress. This meeting will also run as a live video webcast.
