Hylan solution is used for:

Treating pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee.

Hylan solution is a visco supplement. It works by replacing the viscous or "thick" fluid naturally found in joints. The viscous fluid is needed to coat and protect the cartilage and joint of the knee, which lessens the pain of osteoarthritis.

Do NOT use hylan solution if:

  • you are allergic to any ingredient in hylan solution
  • you have an infection where hylan solution will be injected

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
