FDA approves Captique

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted market approval for Captique Injectable gel, new dermal filler product based on Genzyme's non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) technology.

What is Captique?

Captique is used for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as the smile lines that appear between your nose and mouth, or the marionette lines that turn down the corners of your mouth. Captique is injected just below the surface of the skin in order to temporarily correct wrinkles. Captique adds volume to the skin, smoothing lines and wrinkles and the treatment results are immediate. Over time, the gel will gradually break down and be naturally absorbed by your body. After the initial treatment, an additional treatment of Captique gel may be necessary to achieve the desired level of correction. The need for an additional treatment will vary from patient to patient
