Zovirax - could you use zoviax cream on genital herpes?

You could but it'll probably not do much for you. You need to see your doctor and get something to take orally.

My understanding is that the cream is medicinally useful only during the very first outbreak; after that, oral meds are necessary and although the cream may make it feel better (so does vasaline, for that matter), it has no or very little medicinal benefit. The problem is to recognize your first outbreak as being herpes and get to the doctor.
