My husband is turning 60. I would like him to get a Zostavax vaccine since he had chicken pox as a child. I see in the med literature that it contains 0.62 mg of monosodium L-glutamate. Years ago he experienced some mild throat swelling after eating food with MSG. He now simply avoids MSG. He is allergic to raw seafood, such as shrimp juices. Is it safe for him to get Zostavax?
