Zoladex - why have my periods returned?

Hi, I was having terrible left lower side abdominal pain which I put down to my ovaries after much elimination. I had had a hysterectomy the year before and that was the only thing I could think of in that area. I was given Zoladex on a one off injection which was to last 3 months. I presumed it worked as I was having terrible night sweats. The pain subsided a little so I thought it must be that ovary. I went in to surgery to have it removed and the DR told me that the Zoladex had not worked completely. So I do not believe that with out having a good direct look at the ovary that any Dr could actually say that they r completely shut down. All the best, chin up!! Alison
