and/or excessive irritability features of bipolar? And also, what's everyone found so far with the weight gain of this drug? Serious or slight?
I'd love to know what everyone's experienced as I'm possibly about to start taking this drug and it'd be great to hear from those that already do!

It has been my experience that Geodon works well to surpress agitation. I do not take it, but we give it regularly at my hospital for agitation in the IM form and it works well-usually within 30 minutes to an hour. Your concern about the weight gain is justified as I have seen it affect a few patients who take it regularly by mouth. You need to remember though that the weight gain is only a POSSIBLE side effect-since meds affect different people differently, you may not experience this at all. Good luck and I hope this helps.
