my partner wondered if i could lessen the risk of passing herpes simplex II.. if i took valtrex daily to suppress it but i dont want to over medicate and it not be necessary.. i've only had 2 outbreaks in a 3 year span and the second was very close to the intial outbreak when i was diagnosed... can over use cause me to have more outbreaks?

You are taking a low dose at the moment, this will not cause you to have more outbreaks. It seems to be working well.
Herpes Simplex 2 is lifelong. There is no cure.
Talk to your doctor if you want to stop taking your medicine.
