Your question is difficult to answer. Weight gain is a potential side-effect of Yasmin and not everyone experiences it. If you were to put on weight I suppose it would take around six months.

If this weight gain side-effect of Yasmin is bothersome, you should discuss other methods of contraception with your doctor.
