Hello everyone my name is Laura & I am 26yrs old and i have been struggling with weight loss for sometime now. The dr has had me on every weight loss medication out there from otc & prescribed. Now i am on Xenical 120mgs 3xs a day and i have been to the bathroom a few times but not a lot with the loose stools and 1 time of the oily stools. If i do not have the loose or oily stools does this mean that the xenical isnt working? I only weighed myself one time and i have only lost like 1lb. any help would be appreciated thank you

If you didn't have diarrhea or oily stools then it would mean that the meal you had didn't have too much fat/oil content. But the pill is still working... it is still blocking the absorption of the little amount of fat/oil that you had in that meal.
Xenical blocks some of the fat that you eat, keeping it from being absorbed by your body.
Xenical is used together with a reduced-calorie diet and weight maintenance to treat obesity in people with certain risk factors (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol or triglycerides).

My pm doctor outlined a diet for me that worked really well and I would not have tried it, had I not seen a picture of him in '08, weighing about 325lbs. He now weights 185. It is only difficult, because you have to plan ahead. It is a small meal every three hours, your last meal of the night sould be no later than 6 p.m., that meal is supposed to be what is called "lean and green" a lean meat (like ckicken, with brocolli and cauliflower), these two veggies together work alot like the Xenical, it is just natural. The hard part is 1) shopping and 2) preparing your own meals if you are cooking for your whole family. You must incorporate exercise into your program, and for three of your meals you can choose something easy like a nutritional drink or a protien bar. Let me know how the Xenical works for you, I would be very interested. BTW, don't get discouraged about what the scale says, it is only telling you half the story.
Muscle wieghs more than fat and you really shouldn't plan on losing more than 2-3lbs a week. Good luck, let me know how your progress is doing! Fall Queen
