Does xanax help someone stop drinking alcohol?

No, I don't think it can stop drinking, but, if you don't do them both at the same time, you should be ok. Every medication out there tells you not to drink alcohol. It must be required. As, I said, just don't take together and if you want a glass of wine at lunch or dinner with a friend, it should be just fine. But, do what you feel is right in your heart.

Alcohol and xanax together could stop drinking, permanently. It can cause respiratory depression. That can lead to no breathing.
