anxiety9Ok I have read so much regarding xanax on this board. Ie that it is extremely addictive. That being so, would taking like 25mg once a day, once or twice a week, for a month or so lead to addiction? This drug seems so bad why is it prescribed so much?

You should only take as much as you have been prescribed because it is a benzo and is highly addictive. For anxiety, the maximum dose is 4mg divided throughout the day. For panic disorder, it is 10mg divided throughout the day. Again, if you are not prescribed this, I wouldn't waste my time because it can be highly addictive.
