My Doctor is recomending that I do this and I would like to hear more coments about this from indiviuals that has had this done.I have tried foximax, boneva and evista. I have stomach problems and these seem to agrivate my stomach.

Reclast (zoledronic acid, sometimes called zoledronate) is in a group of medicines called bisphosphonates (bis FOS fo nayts). Zoledronic acid inhibits the release of calcium from bones.
Less serious Reclast side effects may include:
cough;
loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting;
diarrhea, constipation;
headache, tired feeling;
mild joint or muscle pain; or
redness or swelling where the needle was placed.
Unfortunately it is difficult to predict what side-effects will affect you.

I was on Actonel for a few years which really upset my stomach when taken with the other medications I am on. ( acid reflux, pains etc. ) I actually took myself off of it because of that fact. I had just switched Doctors at that point and he recommended that I try the yearly Reclast infusion. I do not have the same upset stomach as I had with the Actonel. It took several months for my stomach problems to resolve after stopping the Actonel though. This is my third infusion today and it has been a God Send because my stomach can tolerate Reclast. I do get the joint pain for a couple weeks after, also a headache for a day or two but it is nothing compared to the stomach problems I had before. I hope this helps!
