I agree with Jeff that it a unique dual acting drug. Technically it is an opioid. However, it may not show positive for morphine metabolites (all opiate meds break down to morphine) unless the request for testing of tramodol is specified, I believe it will test negative for standard opiates. There is so much controversy about this drug, some states have officially classified it as a controlled substance and the FDA is reviewing it as well. good luck to you chris
