Will salicylic acid help reduce scar's?

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid and used as a skin peeling agent.
While salicylic acid isn’t the first choice for removing large or deep scars, it can improve the appearance of mild scarring, particularly mild acne scarring.

thanks for your help, they are just small scars but on the face
