I've been taking lexapro for about 8 years for anxiety, panic attacks. My dr. refuses to take me off of it so I've decided I will do it myself. I tried once before but the withdrawal symptoms were so bad I started taking it again. Seems like my attacks got worse. I'm going to try and wean myself off again and hopefully I can stick with it, but I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully stopped taking it. Will I ever feel normal again?

You should go to the drugs.com forum. There is a great thread on the forum on lexapro. Actually there are three big ones, but one of the threads has 1.5 million views and over 10,000 posts. It's the biggest thread on the forum. You should check it out. TONS of lexapro information on that thread. It would surely help you. Good luck. Be careful how you do this. God bless.
