Morgan,
I used to take fioricet for migraine headaches, and sometimes they helped. The active ingredients or medications in fioricet are acetaminophen, codeine, and butabarbital (a barbiturate). The combo of those meds will help pain. Although I am unsure whether you have strained a muscle or are having muscle cramps. Fioricet will help pain associated with a strained muscle, but there is no muscle relaxant for cramps. Might I suggest cold packs instead of taking a out of use pill and some simple aspirin first to see if that helps?
Good luck sweetie, hope your pain gets better.
Peace,
