after being hospitalized for pneumonia a hospital dr. prescribed zyvox for 10 days. 1 week after it's use i broke out over my body with many small lesions one causing servere damage to my hand and arm. there was no evidence of mrsa in my lungs as stated in hospital records
Why would I have a severe outbreak of mrsa after using zyvox for 10 days?

Were you still on the antibiotic or did the outbreak happen one week after you stopped taking Zyvox?
It seems very strange that it would happen. I can't really explain why it would happen ... it might just be a coincidence.

The outbrak occured 1 week after the antibiotic was finished
It is possible you contracted the MRSA in the hospital but being on the antibiotic kept it suppressed! This is just a probability.
