That is a very good question my son which is 9 yrs. old is taking the same medication. He uses it for sleep and to eat he has lost his appetite and cant sleep well cause he is on adderall this is a medication that helps with his adhd/add. Does your daughter have difficulty sleeping or eating? they also use this medication for many other reasons. Have you asked the doctor why he is prescribing this medication?
