Oracea is a tetracycline antibiotic - It is used to treat the inflammatory bumps and pimple-like blemishes caused by rosacea.
Spirinolactone is an anti-androgen and useful in the treatment of acne. It is not so useful in the treatment of rosacea although sometimes used. It is best only used in women who are no longer menstruating and who are not of child-bearing potential
You will need to ask your dermatologist why Oracea is his / her preferred choice.
All the best.
