Hi roscoe. The non generic drug is often more expensive because of the investment, the cost of developing the drug, manufacturing, marketing it. The generic brand put out by another company doesn't have these cost factors. The FDA has guidelines, that a generic has to be in a certain chemical percentage makep as the original. But often, a generic might contain a key ingrediant just as the original drug, but at a lesser potent dose. It varies from drug to drug. Often, generic vs non generic is almost impossible to tell the difference. In other cases, there is a noticeable difference. And its the user, the person taking it, that persons body chemistry will determine if one works better than the other. Best of wishes, pledge
