Why some docs and hospitals don't prescribe tikosyn?

As of November 2009 the manufacture stated that they have a drug shortage. Here's the website that can give you more information. Doctors want to save it for patients that need it the most. I hope it helps! http://www.tikosyn.com/

Thanks. I had read that on their site, but my mother was taken off Tikosyn a couple of years ago because (my impression was) it had dangerous side effects. The subsequent medication hasn't worked as well.
