Why patient on haldol decanoate injection and at the same time on haldol tablet?

Hello maldang. The injection is given be because it works very quickly. The tablet takes longer to desolve get into a persons system. Depending if a person needs immediate relief, the injection would be administered and then, the pill/tablet would be given to take follow up as the medication, and then there would be no need to continue to give another injection.
