I have diabetes 2 and also follow a "lower" salt diet. My primary doctor and my endocrinologist have let me continue to use 1 capsule per day because it helps my osteoarthritis. Talk to your doctor.
Sometimes, taking some other kind of pain killer can be more harmful than the Cosamin DS. It is a decision you must make, and also it depends on how well you control your diabetes or weight problem.
