I heard Medispan determined that Ocella is no longer generic - how and why. How can something be generic and then no longer generic - Is there a generic - can't affort and was happy that Ocella came along as a generic - It was just as good as Yasmin for me???

Oh, I am sure that the lawyers going after them, like ads like this: "If Ocella Caused You Complications You Could Sue." I believe it is Bayer that makes this whole group of pills. I understand that they took it off the market to change the packaging, to save them from more lawsuits. It will be back shortly as their sales are rising.

My pharmacy told me that the new generic for Ocella which was the generic for Yasmin is now Zarah... So far so good with Zarah and no changes in mood or health that I can tell with the change in prescription name... you may see if your pharmacy carries Zarah and if they qualify that as a generic there too...
