I know that Enbrel is injected and aspirin is administered orally. I would like to know why this is different for a presentation I have to give.
Why is etanercept (enbrel) administered differently from aspirin?

This is only a guess... Asprin need stomache juices to prevent bleeding out. Now Embrel if given orally you would probably bleed out all the way through the esophagus into the stomache. This is caused by the the break down of the cellular make up. If injected it prevents this rapid break down. It goes directly into the blood stream. Just think if you injected asprin directlly into the body, the chances of a complete bleed out throughout the system is quite high.
This is only a guess, hope it helps
