Why is colchicine going from generic to brand name?

I got a letter from my drug provider saying that colchicine would not longer be available in generic. The cost will go from $17 for a 90-day supply to $450 for a 90-day supply.

The FDA have given URL Pharma an exclusive license on colchicine meaning there is no competition and they can charge what they like!
