My surgery has substituted my Lercanidipine 10mg with 5mg Amlodipine for cost reasons. What differences are there?

Recent studies have shown that both amlodipine and lercanidipine are effective in treating hypertension but Lercanidipine is superior and better tolerated.
I am not sure why amlodipine has been withdrawn in Holland. A pharmacist should be able to answer your question.
