Why do they recommend taking zocor at night?

Since the body produces most of its cholesterol while sleeping, taking Zocor at night makes it more effective at blocking cholesterol production throughout the night, compared with taking it at any other time of day.

Zocor - Should Simvistatin be broken or taken whole? Ex: 40mg tab, take 1/2 pill a day (to equal?
