Why can't women use the 5% rogaine?

I believe that women can use 5% rogaine. In one study of 381 women with female pattern hair loss, 5% rogaine was superior to 2% rogaine in terms of hair count. There is an increased incidence of side effects (like scalp irritation, itching, and dryness) with the higher strength rogaine. A dermatologist should be very helpful in recommending treatments based on the cause of the hair loss.
