I realize this answer is a bit late but it is recommended that you use a condom to prevent transfer of alprostadil) to your sexual partner if she is pregnant or could become pregnant.

It is not known if Alprostadil can cause harm to the fetus. It is not known if Alprostadil if found in breast milk. Alprostadil is not approved for use in women.

Alprostadil has not been formally assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Alprostadil is not indicated for use in women.
