I have not been able to find anything to successfully control psoriasis on my hands and feet and would like to know if elacon may help and if it can be purchased in Australia? It seems to be getting worse and I am unsure if the treatments make it worse, or if its just the nature of the condition.

Elocon is a topical (for the skin) steroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling.
Elocon is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.

Please read more about the cream on: http://www.mydr.com.au/medicines/cmis/elocon-cream, & perhaps you could buy it in the name of Mometasone Furoate cream in Australia, hope it helps?

Thanks for your response Rajive... I have been using Diprosone OV Cream here, and it is very strong, so was wondering how this compares to Elocon. I would prefer not to use Diprosone, as it is so strong. Another ointment I used that did not have any effect at all is Advantan ointment. Can you or anyone else who might be reading this tell me of the differences between these drugs. I will of course go to my GP to ask about Elocon anyway. The key symptom that tells me that its coming on is thickening of the skin, then small blisters which start out white and then turn brown, Finally the skin peels and cracks and then it all starts again. My internet research terms this condition "palmoplantar pustulosis". It is very bad on my hands, and mild on my feet. I think it is mild on my feet, because I have kept all manner of steroids away from them, because it was the steroid treatment that appeared to make the condition much worse on my hands.

I regret taking the action of going to the dermatologist, as it was simply an annoyance before the Diprosone treatment. Now I rely on it to keep it at bay. Just thought I would provide more information in the hope that I can get some tips for controlling the problem. Many thanks for reading and commenting.
Most welcome & please get well soon! Take care
